I generally think the “half your age plus seven” rule is a good one. There are exceptions, though. I couldn’t imagine it either - however when I was 20, I met not one but TWO men of 50 who I was inexplicably attracted to. If they had pursued, who knows.

Why would you assume he’s alone? I think it’s a lot more probable that the people reaching out to him on Twitter are the people who AREN’T in his life every day. He probably has other friends and family members who are not celebrities - and even assistants! - who are there for him now.
