Thanks for assuming you know where I’ve traveled.

Presumptive and condescending, you’re checking all the boxes today mate.

Riding in a filthy smelly box with other filthy smelly people is awful. I’ll take my car thank you.

The only form of mass transit I found reasonable was the Shinkansen and local rail. I’ve ridden everything from chicken busses to trolley cars and most the major Metros.

Are you kidding me?

They were asked to leave by managment.

They were asked to leave by the police.

They refused.

They were tresspassing plain and simple.

Could Starbux change how they enforce their purchase policy? Sure. But you can’t say they did nothing wrong.

They’re too big in general plus the CVT make it CP for me. I’ll stick to my old WRX wagon.

You just described a cross trek.

You can’t compare a 20 year old 12 valve, or a pre DPF VW to a new diesel truck.

The new RAM ecodiesel comparison is a valid one. An aerodynamic trailer has very little effect on economy I’d not expect a huge drop. How fast you’re going loaded vs unloaded also matters.

If you’re getting 26 at 75 mph then slow down to 65

By “How it drives” I don’t mean raw speed or towing capacity. A diesel makes everything feel more effortless. It’s far more comfortable to let a 3 liter sit deep into boost than to have a 5 liter v8 downshift and scream away up a hill.

The gasser is literally near zero maintence. The diesel is going to be a diesel and require all the normal maintence and coats that go with it. You’re buying a ton of complexity going that route over the v8.

Your saving are going to be less than you calculated.

The trucks go the other way. Look at the RAM guys, it’s tough for them to even get EPA. This ain’t no TDI Jetta my friend.

You’re kidding yourself if you think most people buy diesel trucks for economy.

People buy them for the way they drive, the way they tow and how they hold onto their resale value. Economy is a distant 4 or 5th on the list.

You’re missing the broader point. If the diesel holds onto that 30 mpg by such a narrow thread there’s no way it’s going to get that 30 in the real world.

It’s set up to all but game the EPA rating, in real world usage it’s be at most 2 mpg over the 4x4.

I still do it in my ‘05 WRX but it’s more difficult. The EJ205 has no torque down low, and I don’t want to lug it so I do a little dance on the pedals and pop her into 1st at 5-10 MPH.

It’s a skill I wish more people understood.

Go classic

Countries divide ethnic groups and families. Get over it. It has been that way for a millennia.

A country exists only due to a series of laws set by the population, those include immigration laws.

Where’s it listed in the article?

But clearly indicative of how F’d it is out there.

Let me cut my arm off with a chainsaw, you’re cool with paying for it out of your own pocket right? That includes my healthcare for the next 50 years from the injury plus dissability. All good with you right?

I’ll give you a P.O. box to send the checks.

Detroit is literally dripping in Hellcats, 396s and lower trims are so ubiquitous I don’t even notice them.

Double clutch rev match downshift into 1st. The synchros in your gearbox are designed to not let you shift into 1st at speed.

In my old Golf I could double clutch downshift into first and peg it near redline at 6k (28 mph). If I can do that you can do it moving 4 mph

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Speed differential more than actual speed is what causes accidents.
