Exactly. Curbs were designed around cars of the era, not the other way around. In modern cars you need to be so careful about pulling in. I own a few classics from that early 70s era, you pull up until you bump the curb and shift into park. Zero worry.

In the trucks the steering is too slow. By the time its out it’s real hard to get it back. You can only palm so fast.

Why don’t people just buy one new at that point? It’s not like the cost of the trucks are rising that rapidly. I don’t get it.

Unless they’re going to design them for NA crash standards from the get go you can’t just drop a Asian spec car in the US and expect it to pass crash or emissions testing.
