You’re bench racing, stop.

The MR2 should check all the boxes but it’s inspiring to drive, slow, and more of a cruiser than something performance oriented.

You can’t answer his question by deflecting.

Answer the question.

Go to any and I mean any manufacturing company and ask for a job. If you’re not a felon they’ll find you something.

Finding a job in this economy is trivial at best.

By straight statistics I do agree with you however this crash show’s a gaping hole in how the system operates. That the Tesla system can’t detect stationary objects is such a massive problem it needs to be addressed. That they let the system out into the wild with the known issue is why I have a problem with their

Have you ever paid attention to a NTSB investigation before? Right now it does not sound like it. They’ll release preliminary findings then you wait and wait for a full report.

No other organization has leaked information like Tesla has in this type of investigation. Tesla is the one not playing by the rules here.

I’ve used both systems. I don’t own either of them nor do I stand to profit from either system. Supercruise is built safe if it’s not sure it knows what it’s doing it won’t let you engage it.

Other manufactures give a fuck about designing a safe system, their systems are far more deliberate and safety focused than the

If you decide to not have insurance and get sick that’s your own fault. That’s like not having car insurance then getting in a car accident and asking your neighbors to pay to fix your car.

That said we need to get rid of the Obamacare disaster so that it’s affordable for normal people to maintain insurance through

That Malibu has the worst throttle mapping of any modern car I’ve driven.

Now drive a GM Supercruise equipped vehicle past the same spot (assuming it’s mapped) and show me what happens.

The fault is shared, I won’t contest that. My point is that the Tesla system as it stands today is not ready for primetime. This could very well be a big nail on the coffin for AP style system nationwide

You’re getting the NTSB and the NHTSA confused.

Could you imagine Airbus coming out 2 weeks into a crash investigation and saying “It was the pilots fault!”

Your average Joe is not going to parse the Tesla logs. Secondly nothing stops Tesla from modifying said logs and then release them (they won’t ever release them, you watch)

The NTSB is THE neutral party here. They are the experts at this thing not Tesla.

So you need three dedicated trucks, a crew of 9 guys and these barrels to be dispatched at moments notice?

CALTRANS would laugh you out of their building.

Tesla is not a neutral party. That’s like asking Facebook to tell you the truth.

They have so much to loose you can’t think they’re that altruistic.

People only remember what they hear first. Even if Tesla is at fault people will say “Oh Tesla said the guy driving was the problem”

That’s not how this works.

Tesla is making claims they can’t back up before the NTSB finishes their investigation. They’re yelling first to get their narrative out front.

Hardly.

tesla is trying to covering their asses so hard they’re interfering with the NTSB.

This a big deal for both consumers and the regulatory future of semi autonomous vehicles.

That your main point is “They want to destroy the lives of young black men” is so far off base it’s staggering.

The kid and his friend were on a violent armed crime spree. That’s why they’re being punished (be also refused a plea deal to 25 years).

It’s not big bad mean white guy oppressing him. No one forced him to go

Every system will fail. Period. As engineers you need to design it fail as safely as possible assuming there’s risk to human life.

You get over it, it becomes just another car you do normal car things with. In other news the Range Rover SVR is excellent at hauling small trees with the hatch open.
