We as a global society need to stop acting that China is anything other than North Korea with an economy.

apt update

“BMW is becoming a relationship brand.”

That nagging feeling is the realization that you are driving one of the ugliest vehicles ever conceived.

God, I had a Nissan "Kicks" (WTF?!) as a rental last week. What a soul-deadening piece of shit.

Yes, China is an absolutely stunning example of how we should treat our citizens.

Infosec geeks unite. *Fistbump*

My daily round-trip commute is 75 miles. I started taking a vanpool. It saves a bit of money, but I primarily take it to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and take vehicles off the road, which reduces traffic and further reduces emissions. I just feel like it's being more responsible, you know?

I remember winning a prize in a NOPI “Glow Off” competition back in ‘04 with my first car: a highly-modified turbo Plymouth Sundance Duster. I really want to put underglow LEDs on my current Mustang. I miss the custom lighting scene.

OMG yes. Why couldn't they call it the Bronco E??

It’s the bottom of the curve for the SN-95 Mustangs. Cheap enough to be purchased by people with low budgets looking for a disposable car, but not old enough to be a collectable. The Fox Body was the same way a few years ago, and now they’ve reached collector status and it’s “cool” to restore them.

I think 10% of your salary on car payments and/or maintenance is far more reasonable.

Damn. I’m 35, maxing out my 401(k), and I STILL worry I’m not saving enough. Yeah, it’d be really cool to drop $10k on a supercharger for my Mustang, but you got to have priorities, man!

I hate the fact that I like that.

I have a friend with permanent spinal damage from being in a collision with a lifted bro truck . The truck hit her vehicle and WENT UP ON TOP OF IT. Police failed to ticket the white trash owner for illegal suspension modifications. What the fuck?!

...Which is why I take a day off work every spring and fall and spend the entire day detailing my car and drinking beer.

Holy crap. The truly scary part is that he's allowed to drive, vote, and breed.

I took out a 6-year loan on a new car, but I didn't have debt to roll into it and the interest rate is significantly less than inflation (like 0.9%). Honestly, I was going to get a 5-year loan, but the interest rate was the same. *shrug*

'14 Ecoboost 2.0 here. Just under 75k miles. Definitely an underrated car!
