Thanks! I was initially wondering if they had the Weissach car as the camera/halo car,and just grabbed another, “regular” (ha!) 918 for any action shots or stunts, and at some point didn’t realize (or care about) the continuity mistake.

Kinda reminds me of when they’re testing a new car, and put that “camoflage” wrap all over it.

A friend of mine flew for them recently, and that was the first time I’d realized they were still around also (she’s with American now). My mom used to work for TWA when I was a kid, so I definitely remember them from back in the day!

I’m sure; I swear I saw one of every type of Rolls on the market while in South Beach, and each one was enormous (and usually only had 1 person in it). 

I think that was the point; you’re paying that kind of money, for a Lexus no less, and it (as you said) looks like every other car, so why pay that kind of money if the same interior experience can be had for thousands less?

Old roommate is flying in to his family’s house; his flight from Midway was canceled yesterday AM, but he rebooked on a later one. So far that one is still on track to arrive. OTOH, after a morning of high wind and snow, the power was out in my area, so I had to drive into work. Made it, but grumpy.
