I giggled at this for all of the wrong reasons...
They are (finally!) finishing up on the Fern Hollow bridge here, the one that collapsed earlier in the year; I saw them bringing the beams down the road, as I live maybe 5 miles from the location. They are HUGE, and the city definitely coordinated the effort with local officials. I think they had something like 14…
“Ho hum...nothing to do...think I’m gonna sit on this railroad track and wait for the light to turn green-I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?”
Honestly that was my first thought in seeing this article (I have friends down there). One of them had power, while directly across the street from him in a complex, they had no power for four days when all that happened last time.
I just checked, and it is supposed to go to 12 degrees on Saturday in Pittsburgh.
It does, but it was definitely real. A friend of mine had been flying his drone over the are this summer and put together a really good video montage of the repairs; so good a news agency asked if they could use his footage.
On the surface, $10 a day doesn’t seem like much. But multiplied by 1,000, that’s $10k a day. And for the year that they did it, that’s over three and a half million, tax-free dollars...to basically do nothing and let it handle itself.
This, and I dunno...maybe she wanted it that way? I guess that never occured to the writer of this article. I mean, Bezos could have the Chippendales air dropped onto her lawn or literally anything she wanted, whenever she wanted, and maybe she just told him “chill, I’m gonna let my girlfriend shine on this one”, and…

Somebody had one job
This is a tough one. If you like this model, I can’t imagine there are a ton out there in this good of shape. It may be a little on the high side, but if you found one in better shape, would it be more, and if in worse shape, would you have to put the money into it to get it here (and wind up at the same price point)?…
...or at least not return to you again and again, or do further business with you. WTH?
