This isn’t a GM thing. This is a problem with whoever is making the wheels.

Classic GM. Always forcing their suppliers to the bleeding edge of cheap.
all that is happening here with a 2017 wrx. what is the issue? also 6 4x4 8 ft long in the same car, or 25 bags of mulch in a 2005 legacy
Nowhere near a majority of Americans buy trucks.
Based on what?
By multiple times you mean likely twice. Two times. Maybe three. The idea they’d get a pickup bed for that is laughable. If they really want a truck anyway, they’ll probably go for something that looks like a truck. Which is why Ford is smart to make the Maverick look like a truck.
Don’t NEED a bed. In the RARE case I need to haul something messy or huge outside of my SUV, it goes in a trailer. I have one but you can rent one for $20.
This isn’t for people with a lawn care company. Most other people aren’t carrying around mowers, much less chemicals very often.
No it doesn’t. While the first gen Ridgeline was definitely the same platform as the Pilot, it definitely was not a Pilot with a bed behind the second row of seats. The second gen is exactly a pilot with a bed behind the second row of seats.
I think the point is these people are served just fine by a crossover as a small pickup bed.
People are supposed to haul bulk mulch in the back of their CRV, 10 bags/many gallons of herbicide or many gallons of gasoline in the same compartment as their kids, Do you have kids? Do you even have a house? There is project after project where the interior of my car gets smelly and dirty but I refuse to buy any of…
You mean the second gen Ridgeline?
Sports truck = sporty car with a truck bed. If you disagree that a vehicle with 400hp V8s and low profile tires isn’t sporty, then IDK what to tell you.
My point is, people who want a macho truck, buy macho trucks. A small truck is not macho and should not try to even look macho.
While they don’t need to be sports trucks, this is kind of what I mean.
Yeah, it’s a compact pickup for people who don’t need, want, or can’t afford a large pickup.
Why must it replicate the look of a macho truck when that can’t possibly be who they are targeting?
Took it in for a power steering leak. Got it back with an odd clunk. They diagnosed it as inner tie rod failure which “can’t be replaced. Not Serviceable.” (Note: They are serviceable.) That’ll be $750 for a new steering rack. Blamed the rack failing on the failed power steering line. Asked them to show me the play;…
I mean, $500 isn’t that much...It’s a lot of money that people can make go a long ways, but $500 on a hobby car? I’m amazed all that was ONLY $500!
I like the no salt aspect of Mrs. D.
