What the fuck are the trucking companies doing lol”

Pretty much whenever I see a restaurant owner whining about "nobody wants to work! They all want handouts!" All the while they pay the waitstaff $2 an hour and depend on customers to handout tips just so their employees can make a living wage.

This. I constantly hear that bitching around here, especially at restaurants. Then I look what they want to pay their workers and its as cheap as they can get. I have asked owners why they pay so little and they say shit like thats all they can afford. Spoiler alert: if you cant afford to pay your workers a decent

There is NO trucker shortage, only a PAY shortage.

8/10 anytime I hear, “We can’t find anyone for this position!” it’s because the hours are shit, the work is shit, and the pay is shit.

That and they don't often consider that in some climates walking at certain points of the year walking can range from unpleasant to outright dangerous.

“Worker shortage” is code for “low paying job.”

You couldn’t draw me into OTR trucking on a bet. Unless you wanted me to be a freight salesman.

I have been to Wal-Mart exactly two times; the first time I had a full-on panic attack (there was shit strewn everywhere…a fucking mess, Kathy Lee Gifford’s mug was plastered everywhere, and I was on a cocktail of cancer meds and tranquilizers), the second time I was coming up on a woman and as I passed her, I said

Tricked out vanlife or overlanding rigs are just more examples of the dirtbag-to-hipster-to-finance-bro-pipeline suction effect. Surfers/climbers/skiers/mountainbikers/etc. have a pretty long tradition of dirtbag-style improvisation of vehicles to get them to (and shelter them in) places where they go todo fun stuff.

Or they don’t want to rile up their F150-buying demographic in the south and plains states. It’s all just calculation on what will make or save them the most money, and the math is still fuzzy so they’re delaying as long as possible, probably hoping someone else makes the decision for them.

I live out in Flyover trump country(Missouri) and I am finding it close to impossible to give any shits about the unvaccinated or their children.  The last 5 years have sucked all the outrage outta me.  I work from home permanently, I will social distance for the rest of my life now, my tribe is all vaccinated and

Let us all know who will give you a loan on buying a 92-95 Viper.

Takes this awful should be kept in the greys. You drive a Crosstrek, keep you opinions to yourself.

I wish they would put the modern day Camaro’s drivetrain into some design that wasn’t a rehash of a retro design with no imagination at all (and then followed up with a refresh of the same that proved they’d run out of ideas).  Also make it possible to see out of if you’re even above average height.  Performance

But isn’t that the whole point of the GTI - it’s supposed to be a compromise car that does a whole bunch of things really well, but excels at nothing. It’s intended to be for a car enthusiast who has one parking spot, needs something versatile and practical, but also wants a bit of performance.

Especially given that none of the pedals in the Model T is the throttle.

Not a pantaloons dropper.

The Model T. Ugh...lousy ergonomics, slow, and didn’t come with even a stereo

The sedans are not up-badged Malibus lol. All of the Cadillac sedans are RWD, something a Malibu hasn’t had in decades. That’s not to say anything about whether they are or are not overrated, but they’re not up-badged Malibus. The Buick Regal was the up-badged Malibu and it arguably did a very good job of being that
