Volvo has some very nice cloth seat options.

The black wheel trend stacked with matte paint is just so lame. Murdered out everything jumped the shark years ago. Pretty much every new model is getting this treatment.  Yesterday I saw the new Kia minivan and it legit looks cool, but was cement gray with giant black wheels. I get the comparison to 90s teal, but the

Ban commuter pickups. Pass laws that require an owner to demonstrate a need to register a pickup for on road driving. There is simply no upside to society having them on our roads. Comments are now open for all the stubby bed crew cab dad truck owners to feebly justify their lifestyle vehicle.

More like impulsive and vain buyers.

Winchell Road will never be gridlocked. It’s in a pretty nice and sleepy neighborhood with no commercial traffic.

It’s legitimately cool looking, not dorky cool like the previous gens.  Plus the criteria for today’s Q is cool, not practical.

Stop at the normal dinner time, find a place to stay and have steak and bourbon. I made the trip from AZ to MI about 15 times and there’s something about driving through the plains that made a steak seem right. BBQ if it’s feeding time and you’re in MO.  Not groundbreaking or innovative, I know.

Thanks for sharing. I like CK and have been using the Boss/Rage versions of Ghost of Tom Joad in my classroom for years.

I missed the survey, but

For years I have marveled at the luxury, especially luxury HD truck phenomenon. How is the demographic of those with the means and the desire to drive them? I guess my aspiration leans more sophisticated gentleman than an expensive tow vehicle for all my expensive Xtreme toys. I also grew up on a farm, so I got a

The electoral college and senate both favor republicans. The fact that WY gets two votes in each when it has fewer voters than any major American city; fewer than the average Congressional district shows this. If the founders hadn’t based our national representation and presidential elections in part on geography

I don’t consider myself a fast food glutton, but I definitely wouldn’t barf from eating the quarter pounder. Maybe it was a double; I could still stomach that.

I’m not on BaT as often as C&B, but they seem to cater to the more well heeled car guy. Either way, C&B was built on Doug’s personality and everyman-ness. Like they say, when something’s free, you’re the product.

He’s also ruining the market for affordable enthusiast cars. I still watch most of his videos because they give comprehensive reviews of the cars, but it’s not just a regular guy nerding out on cars. C&B is a place for rich dudes to flip allocated EVs, whose market is softening. Meanwhile, Doug wets his beak on every

The front end over styling, beltline raising arms race kills me. In lieu of c & p images that kinja will double, imagine the fascia of each of the Big 3 full size trucks/SUVs circa ‘02 compared to today. It’s like all of these designers (and the truck buying public) didn’t get that Family Truckster and Canyonero were

I find airplane bottles useful for cooking or some other recipe that calls for a small amount of something expensive, like kaluha, chambord, etc. I also keep a couple mini bourbons in the console so it’s on hand, but I don’t have to break the law with an open bottle in the vehicle. I think a main motivation for these

I had to reread that, too. You know what else easily outdoes mainstream aughts domestics? A ‘23 Equinox.

I always thought of Audi as tarted up VWs with the same reliability gambles. Really, I’d be nervous to own any luxury brand car that’s in the death zone of being new enough to not seem like a poor, yet not old enough to have their gremlins show.

Our ‘21 CX5 has the clear coat shredded from less than a year of occasional drive through car washes. Maybe any car would; it was my first new car. It doesn’t look bad unless you’re looking for it. Hopefully it will buff out and I can protect the refurbished finish. Aside from that and the cumbersome radio controls,
