The car flipping on C&B really grinds my gears. It’s not just the slimy practice of the flippers, but that Doug took his car nerd enthusiasm and credibility and parlayed it into a medium that has enriched him and warped the market for cool cars that shouldn’t have become so exclusive or unobtainable. Don’t get me

I had an Achieva SCX too and I loved it. I look for them for sale, but last I checked there was one listed for $25k.

Let’s coin the name for the body style all EVs have taken. Kind of a low, tubby crossover, large hatchback shape. I propose spark wagon, leadfloor, buzzback.

I remember the Eos and the rest of the VW lineup that year from the Wilco soudtracked commercials. Probably tied for best VW commercial with the Slash one.

There weren’t Platinum or Limited trims back in ‘08. The MK LT’s deal closing feature IMO was AC seats.

One dollar, Bob

Here’s an interesting read about how yellow became the standard for school buses.

That Lincoln shade of green would be a deal closer for me. I love green cars. But the JGC still just does something for me a Lincoln SUV can’t. Heritage? Classic rugged yuppie aesthetic?

Browsing used cars is basically a hobby like most jalops. The market for 10-15 year old convertibles is just ridiculous. It’s almost justifiable since many of those models have been abandoned by auto companies. The truck market is begging for some sort of government intervention. 100k+ mile trucks are still listed (I

That people will find a loophole doesn’t seem like a valid reason to not adopt something like this. Businesses can’t show year after year of no profits without getting audited; this seems like a way to catch the scofflaws that would commit fraud to hold on to an unneeded truck. The masses of dudes driving trucks as

We get to vote at least every two years; no one is tearing anything down in the mean time. Own some property and you’ll support a peaceful, orderly change to our flawed institutions. Signed, well armed progressive.

Engineering is a costly part of auto making. By that measure BOF trucks should be more affordable than they’ve become. I get it; corporations make money, not things.

This seems like a Traverse or Explorer for people who don’t live in the Midwest.

How many of those new jobs pay enough to afford this, or any new car for that matter?

I’ll roll the dice with the biased legacy media outlets rather than one deranged lunatic giving the platform for bad actors to disinform the rest of the lunatics.

This reminded me that they’ll start running the insufferable yuppie GMC ad every commercial break for the next month. I love it!

Just, no. Watch the How to Drink review of these money waste contraptions.

How about a legal requirement to actually need a heavy inefficient vehicle? A formula that figures MPG and GVW and above a certain score, you show ag or contactor business documentation to register your HD truck. I know freedom lovers and the camper trailer industry would lobby to kill it in the womb.

A professor in a business class would often say buying a car company is a great way to lose millions of dollars. Musk could actually pull it off if he used his cult of personality for something worthwhile.

You are a true coinsurer. I’ll try the spicy Italian version myself.
