The E60 5 series was deemed to ugly to love when it first came out as well, but as time wore on, and other vehicles became uglier, the E60 has come to be acceptable.

Ugh, right before Misano too. My wife and I were at that race last year. I can’t imagine how disappointed we’d have been if Rossi had missed it. Here’s hoping he recovers fast.

Me too. Dovi is a good guy with historically bad luck, and deserves a championship. If Rossi can’t win it, I hope Dovi does.

I don’t think it’s time for him to retire yet. He’s still consistently fighting for podiums and championships, and winning the occasional race. That’s a tall order against the new crop of contenders.

Team “Force India”? More like team “Forced Into-ya”, Amirite?!?

MotoGP. Having religiously watched every race for nearly 20 years, I can (and often do) break down the timeline of Rossi’s career, explaining why it’s so unbelievable that he’s still winning races, and fighting for championships.

What I’ve been saying.

-Your dignity.

Useful for hauling that piece of carry-on luggage you’ll be forgetting to take with you on every flight for the first 6 months of Tesla ownership.

Considering how poorly Harley Davidsons run, this is arguably a better use of those parts.

2nd gen Swift GT was my first car! After a few years of blissful ownership, I added a turbo and was making 140hp at the wheels (which is plenty for a little car like that!)

The only good that could come from this is that Jorge Lorenzo will never win another championship...

Maybe you’re forgetting where you are. If Jalops actually had $125k of walking’ around money, the world would be filled with brown wagons and 6mt’s instead of SUV’s and slushboxes.

True. I’ve always wondered if Marco’s amazing mop of hair might have contributed to his death, in that his helmet would not fit as tightly...

That looked a little too similar to Marco Simoncelli’s fatal crash for my liking. Glad he’s okay...

I live on Vancouver Island, so ferries are an inescapable part of life for me, but I live in fear. Truth be told, my biggest fear on every ferry I board is the dreaded door ding. And heaven forbid they should slot me in near the doorway, so that everybody had to drag their backpack across the side of my car.

I might be biased...

Beautiful car. Needs more S62...

To be fair, by the time Nicky won his MotoGP championship, it wasn’t all that unusual for an American to win the series. After all, Kenny Roberts Jr. was the last non-Doctor to win the championship, and it was only during Rossi’s heyday that Italians surpassed Americans as the nationality with the most Premier-class

I’m assuming that the wagon at the end was an E34 M5, (the same M5 alluded to at the beginning of the article)? That would have been the fastest wagon of its time, correct?
