I don’t think Sea World is paying anyone, at least not on Jez. We do have one very dedicated commenter who is an ardent fan of Sea World and perpetually offended that many people take issue with some of its practices, but s/he’s been around for awhile and regularly posts on many other topics.

Does Sea world actually think paying people to post hostile, poorly thought out defenses of their business will actually convince anyone that what they do isn’t evil? I am honestly baffled by this.

Kind of reminds me of the people who hold up their iPads at concerts. Seriously, concert-goers and dolphin-watchers, you should just enjoy the massive experience you are currently having instead of trying to reduce it to a tinny-sounding, shaky video.

Also maybe if a strong animal grabs something from you, don't stick your hand into the water like that after it. Let it go dude. It belongs to the dolphin now.

Was on one of those duck host tours in San Diego last summer. We were warned about dropping phones in the bay. And guess what? Some asshole dropped a phone and WANTED THE BOAT TO TURN AROUND AND GO BACK FOR IT.

No shit. I can’t stand going to zoos. Watching animals in captivity is so cruel and depressing.

Dolphin captivity is so uncool. Maybe you shouldn’t taunt an imprisoned dolphin. Maybe you shouldn’t patronize places where dolphins are imprisoned.
