This has been the custom in the USA for decades and tipping. If you disagree I suggest you email your state representative advocating for a living wage for servers banning tipping

“Think about the number of times you’ve asked your server to explain the flavors in a dish”

People are leaving the service industry because customers are rude, arrogant and cheap. The worst is the verbal tip. You were so great. um thanks for the 12% tip. Those 5 nice tables that tipped well do not make up for the one asshole table that makes your night a living hell. And the house always backs up the

If ever a headline answered its own question...

I take issue with the “why is there pumpkin spice in this” in terms of things that exist only to make things smell nice. Pumpkin spice is just cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and clove (sometimes also allspice) and those are all nice smells, separately or together.

Yes, we should all feel weird about this.

I will let Amazon know the next time this happens.

lol yeah that’s kind of their thing at MilkBar. This is a recipe of my own design so it accounts for the crazy sugar content in these cereals. It’s a sweet pie but it’s definitely not seizure-y. You could even reduce a tablespoon from the crust and have the whipped cream unsweetened (but leave it in the pudding).

christina tosi: i once made one of her recipes, and it was so oversugared i thought i’d have seizures. took differenr kinds of sugar too: regular sugar, caster sugar, i forget what else. sugar everywhere. gack.

Collagen is wonderful stuff. It is what makes your smoked brisket or pulled pork juicy instead of dry. It makes stocks rich and smooth, giving them great mouthfeel and helping to thicken sauces.

Klondike might have killed its most iconic treat”

Oh yeah, that’s another one where it’s on the “surprise” list.

Ricotta cake is sublime. A friend of a friend ran an incredible restaurant in Rome, and she made all of the desserts herself every day. One of her specialties was ricotta cake, and she insisted we try it when we ate there. It was so, so good. I raved about it in my very poor Italian, and at the end of the night she

I’m beginning to think processed foods might not be that great

They’re obviously hoping they’ll lure in the desperate and the homeless to be free labor. Just another reason CFA can eat dicks and die.

The first time I had port was in a spritzer and it really is the better way to drink port much of the time. Port can be so syrupy sometimes that the drink just comes off like a boozy Italian soda.

Look at reddits stupid food subredit, its not just Latino food they are fucking with, there is TON of stupid food shit on TikTok

Not only that, but people gotta eat, even if they’re depressed (or Just Feeling Bad). The idea isn’t “eat *because* you’re depressed”, it’s “easy things you can eat WHEN you’re depressed”.
