I remember him not just as Iago, but also as the headmaster of the orphanage in Problem Child.

it occurs to me a cheap way to try this would be using a packet of ramen flavor after using the noodles for ramen cacio e pepe...

Simple syrup is 100% the way to go for iced or coldbrew coffee. Stirring sugar into cold coffee is an exercise in annoyance.

Similarly, I will never forget being behind someone at Starbucks or ordered a small coffee with five splendas and two sugars. I think I just stared agape at the person for a good 2-3 minutes

:)

Thank you Antifaz! I think you said everything I would have said if I had seen this comment earlier! It’s just nice to have options!

Now playing

you just moved or are a minimalist and don’t have a frypan; you’re out of butter or don’t want butter; you want a boiled egg but can never get the time right with the shells; or a poach but can’t keep the thing whole or don’t want runny yolks (such people exist); you have an assortment of interesting liquids to play

Back when newspapers had food critics, they usually had a policy that the critic/reviewer paid for absolutely everything they ordered at regular menu price. Some critics even made a note in their review if the thought the restaurant staff knew they were there to review the place.

IG is great for dog pictures.

If you’re following a food influencer, that’s a red flag.

I don’t pretend to be a mashed potato expert, but in my limited experience, the drier the potato, the better. All the liquid then comes from the cream or milk or butter and they don’t taste watered down. I’ve been steaming potatoes in the micro for eons and I let them sit and dry out a bit before I try to mash them.

I keep an emergency kit with a week’s food rations, and a spreadsheet with expiration dates so I know when to rotate things. (I group things bi-monthly so I’m not looking at the dang thing all the time.) Consider adding some dedicated breakfast-type foods such as oatmeal to your kit, along with higher-test caffeine

They have a large indigenous aircraft industry that produces impressive military and space stuff and even whales away in vain at non-captive airliner markets from time to time. I’d imagine they could figure out how to do fully independent maintenance on Boeing and Airbus products if sufficiently motivated.

If there’s one country I could see continuing to fly these safely, it’s Russia. They likely have the resources domestically to reverse engineer and produce the parts they need.  And since they no longer care about international law, I don't think IP issues are a problem.

Most of the travel is within their own country. Large land mass with plenty of cities.

1) Don’t hit people. 2) If you’re going to make a joke on a world stage about anyone, then check with them before making said joke.

“Dos Oruguitas” is also, in context to the film, the more Oscar-y choice. It’s not a bop, but it underscores a sequence with way more gravitas, about displacement, violence, loss, and grief.

Or a THOUSAND other reasons. FFS.

Cupcakes have too much goddamn frosting. That’s the problem. Cut the frosting, no hack necessary.
