After seeing the original I wasn’t going to get fooled again. I’d read the short story Lawnmower Man was named after (because you sure can’t say the movie was based on it) out of sheer curiosity how they’d turn an eight-page story into a feature film.

Now playing

I happen to have been listening to The Pretty Reckless a LOT since I found them a few months ago. GOOOOD band. She’s got a killer voice, and if I had been an actor for most of my life only because my parents wanted me to be an actor then I might not be sunshine all the time either. Good for her.

how do you make a list about fan movies and not include The Fan? lmao.

extremely funny to me that we’ve hit so much cultural/content oversaturation that the op, clearly a big enough fan, wasn’t even aware that his idea has already been done.

You people are missing the real triumph of this slideshow, and that’s that they got a photo of one of Jim Spanfeller’s executive desk toys:

That’s just how people refer to Edward. “’ken Norton, man.”

The boxer who was in Mandingo?

Why does Ross, the largest friend, not simply eat the other friends?

No, yeah, I know Yaphet Kotto was much too old - but his great violent eruption in Brubaker (and in Blue Collar, come to think of it) made me want him to play Easy. Don’t know why - Easy doesn’t really get that violent in the books... But just that authority, that strength.

Oh man - Fallen and Book of Eli are some of my favorite movies. Not just Denzel movies. Fallen might be a bit obscure...?  but I highly recommend it to anyone.

Goddamn Fallen was sooo good and creepy.

Fallen is one of my favorite of his movies

Yeah go stand in front of a mirror and try to deliver that speech (flying spit and all), see what happens.

I know some people claim the King Kong scene is over the top, but to me it’s masterful. He’s cornered, scared shitless (you can see it in his eyes), losing control of people he’s used to owning, and trying to fake his way through in a situation where everyone sees right through him. But I’d probably go:

I’ve gotta be honest: I think Ed Sheeran in Yesterday is one of the few actually funny examples of “Celebrity playing themselves in a movie” that I’ve seen. When “Shape of You” starts playing, and it reveals that Ed Sheeran’s ringtone was HIS OWN SONG, it was genuinely incredible.

And the greys ( never a good idea) seem to have disappeared completely.

“However, some striking members have questioned this strategy given that it undermines the optics of a full work stoppage.”

Everything about this comment is annoying, from you being confidently incorrect about the timeline to the way you’ve phrased it as if anything about the post even so much as gives the impression that she was currently voicing the character, especially since it explicitly states the following:

It really is such a cruel coincidence. Brodie Lee/Luke Harper passing away from a rare lung infection and now Bray due to heart attack stemming from heart issues due to covid. Makes it even sadder that both had young children and despite their scary looks, were regarded as some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

Jughead actually created their universe’s version of Archie’s Mad House, which is this universe’s version of a Riverdale knockoff of Mad.
