I watched Lost for the first time only a few years ago, and agree with it working, too. Maybe it’s because I binged it and also stayed clear of the naysayers?

What I don’t quite get is, Mastodon is all these things already: Twitter ripoff, open source, decentralized, same verification mechanism. I love Masto’s earnestness but using it feels like work, and for folks promoting bands and other cool stuff, it doesn’t feel like it has the reach.

I don’t understand why anyone would go from the society destroying Twitter to a new social network created by the same guy that created the first thing and expect it not to have the same bad outcome.
