Crossing over into Superman and Lois would be a bit confusing given that in Naomi, Superman seems to be regarded as a fictional character until he is seen in the pilot of Naomi. So it doesn’t seem to be in the same universe. Which was a baffling choice to me. But I know there was some kind of multiversal twist to the

It’s a shame Naomi opted to not join the Arrowverse in the first season (partly because they shot in Atlanta, and more it seems because the show runners took a “Let them come to us” mentality). These shows are always stronger together, and I think as the Arrowverse continues to be remembered fondly in the following

Patti Harrison had some of my favorite bits, so hopefully we see more of her.

I was really annoyed by some of them.

There were a couple where I knew the original and not the cover!

Yeah, this is definitely the Donald Trump definition of “you didn’t know”, which is “I didn’t know”. I mean, for crying out loud, at least two of these originals were NUMBER ONE HITS! And I mean USA Billboard Hot 100. Others such as “Crusin’” the original was MUCH bigger than the remake.

I think a lot of them depend 1. on your age and 2. how into genres other than rock and pop you are. I admittedly didn’t know for years that I Will Always Love You was a Dolly song, since I didn’t listen to much country and the original was before my time. Always on My Mind was a big enough song for Willie that I did

Oh shit we found the only person on the planet who liked the last season of The 100.

I really liked the House finale and the write-up they put as a reason for why it was bad is such horseshit. Acting like House doesn’t face any consequences because he faked his death kind of glosses over the fact that he’s volunteering to take care of his only real friend and suffer through watching Wilson die most

I watched Lost for the first time only a few years ago, and agree with it working, too. Maybe it’s because I binged it and also stayed clear of the naysayers?

these are some pretty anemic write-ups.  LOST was ambiguous?  They told us that a guy named “Christian Shepherd” shepherded them into the afterlife.

The story about Buckethead being star struck when finding out Freese’s dad did the music at Disneyland is both bizarre and somewhat sweet. I worked with someone whose husband was involved with the making Chinese Democracy and I guess Buckethead had a meltdown at the studio one day because he wanted to go to Disneyland

Brilliant pedigree...How many people can you name that backed The Vandals, Devo, Sting, Nine Inch Nails, The Offspring, Weezer, Mike Ness, and Paramore? He is still considered THE man to call for any fill in for band tours or session drumming with the amount of adaptation he can do. He can even mimic styles quickly

For anyone interested PBS is running a documentary about the early seventies (late sixties?) band Fanny, airing at 10PM EST Monday.

What I don’t quite get is, Mastodon is all these things already: Twitter ripoff, open source, decentralized, same verification mechanism. I love Masto’s earnestness but using it feels like work, and for folks promoting bands and other cool stuff, it doesn’t feel like it has the reach.

I don’t understand why anyone would go from the society destroying Twitter to a new social network created by the same guy that created the first thing and expect it not to have the same bad outcome.

She’ll have a row all to herself.

This is nice - normally, some people wait a lifetime for an apology like this.

Wait until he covers “Cotton-Eye Joe”

Kung Fu was a good show. Can’t say I’m surprised. I just wonder what took so long. Anybody know what CW is actually replacing all this with?
