Sum 41 Year Olds

How White Men Fight:

My parents liked similar music and it likewise took me a while to realize that they had excellent taste. I remember putting Eat a Peach by the Allman Brothers on the record player as a kid because I really liked the album cover.  Underneath it were Stones, Johnny Cash, you name it.

Man, Steven Dorff really jumped the gun on that True Detective S3 reunion by being in the wrong Blade film nearly 25 years too early.

Not if Geraldo Rivera beat him to it. That chair hit him in the nose, he wants to sit in it bad.

Maury could never.

Technically, every show set before 1990 or so is a Star Trek prequel.

There’s also a show on Amazon called Class of ‘07, about a bunch of Australian women at a ten-year class reunion at their old boarding school, when a huge earthquake occurs, turning the area into an island and stranding them. It’s weird.

Stephen King had Cujo, The Dead Zone AND Christine adaptations in 1983. Cronenberg’s The Dead Zone was, by far the best of them, though far from the best Cronenberg. Christine was okay Carpenter.

1983 wasn’t a good year for Jackie Gleason movies.

Irene CARA!

How was this not a slideshow?

Already burned though the whole season and I’m just mad there aren’t more!

Interesting comment because the very first thing I thought when I finished the series was how it felt like a lowkey homage to Fargo season one. Danny had similar Lester Nygard vibes and the mid-season time jump happens at a similar point to when it happens in Fargo.

Agreed. It’s either an REM song or a BDP song, but mashing them together makes it less than the sum of their parts.

Half a World definitely needs to be in there. Breathtaking song.
