Man, I wasn’t even that much angry about 76 because, since it was a new multiplayer endeavour anyways, I didn’t even bother with it... not my gig, perhaps someone will like it after all the bugs gets straightened out, or some changes are done a la No Man’s Sky or something.
200 bucks.
I would like to take a moment to point out that Bethesda has not made one good Fallout. All previous works, and the fantastic New Vegas, were done by someone else. In my eyes, this is par for the course for them regarding this franchise.
Greetings!
Thank you for purchasing Fallout 76. This is prerecorded holotape and I’d be happy to not help you in any way today!
Game’s issues aside the fact that they swapped out merchandise like that without notifying anybody until after release is outright false advertising. Bethesda’s gonna get hit hard with lawsuits on this one, jeez
I’ve been in Customer Support positions in the video game industry for 11 years and have worked with companies like Square Enix and Activision. The customer support answer that was sent was... upsetting. To put it mildly. Here’s how I would have answered that email:
Do you guys remember when Nintendo gave out Dragon Warrior for free with every 1 year subscription to Nintendo Power?
I don’t really care how critical received the game is. If something is bad, so be it. There were plenty of gameplay videos out there showing exactly what the game was, and anyone familiar with Bethesda knows that bugs would be a part of the game.
Well this brings back some memories
I...wow.
I’m glad some folks are enjoying this game; everyone has their somewhere they want to be, and that somewhere doesn’t work for other folks—and that’s fine. I enjoy a great many things others think are a waste of time.
This whole kerfuffle, though, comes off as one giant kettle of “we coasted way too hard on a…
Yeah, the idea of “good guy with gun” (who isn’t police officer) actively hunting the “bad guy with gun” is bollocks. He’s just going to get shot by police or a different “good guy with gun”.
Exactly. If you’re a “good guy with a gun” and you’re white, you won’t get shot. Also, if you’re a “bad guy with a gun” and you’re white, you won’t get shot.
Which is why the whole idea of good guys with guns acting like superheros to stop bad guys with guns is a load of bollocks. The police arriving at the scene of a shooting has no way of distinguishing good guys from bad guys, and no time to be figuring it all out. So, they let their implicit bias (or explicit bias aka…
In the next day or two, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out Bradford was being a hero, a good guy with a gun chasing the actual gunman. But, you know, he was black, so by definition, not a good guy.
I like how the very same people that will tell you how it’s so great that you can open carry in Chick fil A will be the same people that will say the cops had to shoot immediately because the guy had a gun on him. (May have had a gun. This post doesn’t make it clear if he was armed or not.)
Of course, the trigger-happy cops saw a brother with a gun and took him out. The only thing shocking to me is that they came back so soon and admitted they fucked up. Usually, they would cover it up and try to pin the shooting on this dearly departed veteran.
How about all religions just shut the fuck up about mutilating the genitals of ALL children?
Fun fact: Oregon only (relatively) recently amended the “no black folks allowed” part of their state constitution. Don’t fall for the trappings of white liberal utopias.
Ooooo, I was waiting for some butthurt white trash response, thanks for obliging! First, I’m white. Caucasian Mayo-American all the fucking way. Welsh/Irish/Scottish/English/German. Snow white.
