The problem is some stores will automatically run it as debit without prompting and do it as a pin transaction for amounts under a certain dollar amount. Usually under $50-$100). Walmart is well known for doing this crap.

Antibotics aren’t the answer though. This is a red herring. Research into utilizing and modifying bacteriophages is a more viable long term solution to bacterial infections. They can be modified in a lab and tested against human cells and the target bacteria to ensure it is effective.
How is this good on Nintendo when it took the threat of an impeding class action lawsuit to get them to take action? A good response would’ve been to deal with it prior to numerous articles on the issue and an impeding lawsuit.
How is it cheaper? Right now the current system incentivizes the tax prep companies to lobby for increasingly complicated tax forms to nudge taxpayers to use their software. If as the IRS has proposed before where they send you a prefilled form of all the stuff they have already (W-2s, 1099s, etc) send you just have…
Absolutely. It shows Sony didn’t know the first rule of creating database tables. NEVER make a text the key for a table. Always use a UID / GUID or a randomly generated numerical id.
Remember the airwaves the telecoms are using to transmit texts are a public resources and are licensed to the telecoms by the FCC. As they are using a public resource as the primary agent of their service, they should be subject to first amendment rights.
Not true. DNA matching isn’t 100% accurate. It all depends on how many markers they are checking for as comparing your entire genome would take forever and be incredibly expensive. The tests used by cops check for markers that are uncommon for everyone to match. The accuracy and cost increases based on how many…
Obsidian made Fallout 3. Bethseda published it.
Yeah but 4k isn’t perceivable from the normal distances and tv sizes people sit at.
In my experience PTO in lieu of separate sick and vacation just drives people to come in sick. At my workplace, we had a manager have to send his entire department home because they get each other sick and didn’t want to use PTO for being sick.
My crappy company a few years back decided to get rid of sick leave in favor of PTO. ( we used to get 2 weeks of sick in additional to vacation time) Now we only get 3 weeks of PTO so no one calls in sick and just shows up sick and gets the rest of the office sick. It’s a nightmare during flu season.
The big problem when it comes to the whole green power idea is that people very quickly dismiss and ignore nuclear power. China for instance has been heavily funding Gen IV reactor research. Unlike current power plants that are based on the light water reactor design, Gen IV reactors are designed so that a critical…
The long term solution is convince each state to sign a non-compete pact that prevents city from screwing local taxpayers to get business to open an office there. If every state stops offering crazy tax incentives and offers to pay for buildings, etc. It would benefit everyone. Why should I as a taxpayer have to foot…
The long term solution is to phase-out and replace using your Social Security Number as a unique identifier with some other method like say an identity verification card that uses a chip in a PIV card format.
I agree 100%. New Vegas coupled with a bunch of high res. texture mods and patches is beautiful.
In Europe customers could likely sue under False Advertising as consumer protections are much stronger there. Would be interesting to see a bunch of people in Europe use this to force retailers to refund it.
Wouldn’t a solution be to invest in a quality portable air filter designed to filter out nano particles?
Didn’t he also make the Patent Troll company Intellectual Ventures? Screw him. At least Bill Gates is actively helping others while Paul Allen spent his post Microsoft time fucking everyone sideways with shit like Patent Trolling.
It is their fault though. They did the same thing with thing with the PSP and Monster Hunter saved it along with microsd card adapters. Sony needs to learn to stop making proprietary standards just so they can charge 10x what the current standard charges. The memory cards for the vita were literally a microsd wrapped…
What kind of thermal paste are you using? How is it applied? What are your idle temps? You may need to replace the thermal paste. This doesn’t seem normal at all. I have a i5-4670k and it idles at 35C with a corsair all-in-one. That is even with it being overclocked and it having the voltage regulator on die. It only…
