@Bern: as far as i know, the non-beta version of boot camp does not work with tiger, and is leopard only. apple is saying you must install this boot camp update before installing xp sp3, so i wouldn't be at all surprised if sp3 breaks the beta version.
@Bjarte: umm, that sounds like a hardware issue, not sp3.
bah, i wish we could edit posts. anyway, i also wanted to mention that you can pick up used minis pretty cheap, and if you don't care about running windows on it you can get g4 based ones even cheaper.
@Myles: that's fine if all you want is the dvr functions. with a mini you also get a computer.
