Lol, so you think it is ok to assume that an African-American male is a rapist because:

Who said anything about assuming white women are always lying? I just pointed out that a large number of posters are happy to assume the plaintiff is guilty, despite the fact there is little information about the case other then the university concluded he was guilty and the plaintiff is African American.

Lol, are you really saying that police and the courts offer less due process then Title IX school hearings? Did you get that from the same source as your previous claim that the 2-8% statistic stemmed from defamation cases, lol? If you could also list the basis on which you are confident the school ensured the

I had my previous response bravely dismissed by one of the people responding to your post by declaring that if black men don’t want to be accused of rape, they shouldn’t rape women in the first place. I was personally wondering how such useful advice would helped Brian Banks, the UVA fraternity or the Duke Lacrosse

Lol, yes, because the only way racism against people of color can manifest in current academic environments is in an identical form to what occurred historically, and not in a more subtle insidious manner ... such as assuming an African-American male is automatically a rapist. Now who is being disingenuous?

I like how when anyone points out the possibility that racism may have impacted on a school’s investigation of a rape allegations or the public perception of the guilt of the African-American accused, your stock response is to accuse them of being a troll and making generalizations about their gender:

And your evidence that it is beyond the realm of possibility that the school didn’t show bias in this case in finding the African-American responsible is ... ? Funny how schools investigatory boards can only be biased when they find African-American to be innocent of rape ...

Lol, “pretending false accusations of rape is not a tool used historically to surpress young black men ...” rather.

“pretending false accusations of rape is not a tool used historically to surprise young black men ...” rather.

So then do you place as much weight on the fact that Jameis Winston was not found responsible by his school and consider him 100% innocent of rape then? And yes, I have noticed pointing out the obvious racial undertones of the case make many Jezebel posters so uncomfortable they will intentionally attempt to pretend

That is an interesting coincidence - I find whenever commenters attempt to casually dismiss the established history of discrimination against African-Americans, for example by pretending false accusations of rape is a tool used historically to surprise young black men or implying college-educated white women are just

Well, he IS black and that is sadly all the information some Jezebel posters need.

Lol, yes, that advice would have sure helped Brian Banks or the UVA fraternity or the Duke Lacrosse team.

Where is this evidence that false accusations, particularly against men of color, are rare? Convictions of women for false accusations do fall within the often quoted 2-8% range but to say that means false accusations in general are rare is like saying that rape is rare because only 0.6% of rapists are convicted.

Are we now assuming that school investigations into sexual assault are both automatically impartial and infallible? I note that when white female students complain that their alleged attackers were not punished by their school, such as in the UVA case, numerous Jezebel posters are quick to argue the investigation was

I like how a number of posters are automatically assuming the plaintiff is a rapist, even though the only confirmed information available is that he is an African-American male. Kind of supports his point really ...

I think part of the problem with domestic violence cases in the public eye is that people are too willing to give celebrities they like a pass. During the Depp-Heard case, I saw numerous posts on this site attempting to gloss over the fact that one party had a previous arrest for domestic violence: http://www.etonline.

I know what you are referring to but I don’t think we are supposed to talk about it.
