I have pretty much always used a business card for this. The biggest pain in the ass was that the tv would reset back to the hotel welcome and I’d have to spend ten minutes with the crappy remote finding an english language news show.

You only need fancy olive oil when your fancy olives are squeaking and in need of maintenance.

Your boss sounds like a real pain in the ass.

1. The whole “cc: the Boss” thing — that’s one of the worst email practices ever. It escalates, it’s an implied threat, it annoys people up the chain that don’t want to see this. You look unprofessional to the boss.

2. If you’re not getting what you need by email, you need to stop sending the emails and set up a

I did a lot of work comparing flights recently. The prices on the tickets purchase through the chase rewards travel desk were higher than what I could pay otherwise. It made more sense to take the points as cash and use that to buy the tickets. I was not impressed.

This was fantastic and thanks for the level of detail. I learned something. There is one thing I either missed in the article or just wasn’t there. The author gives Mazda’s goal for torque and horsepower, but not displacement or weight for the engine. That makes it hard (for me anyway) to compare it to other engines.

This continues to be a bad idea. The alcohol will tend to damage the silicon wiper blades and leave them working very poorly. Your “cheap” solution will cost you some expensive new silicon blades.

Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I think my younger self would be pretty shocked, since neither of us is gay.

The original reason for the “no birth control” fight was an attempt to scuttle the PPACA. Yes, there are a few employers with what they believe are legitimate moral issues but the real purpose of the lawsuits was an attempt to scuttle the program.

We are clearly passed that being a possibility at this point. All that

you had an awesome middle school teacher. Reminds me of a high school teacher I had who used to suggest the most effective form of birth control was an aspirin — held tightly between the knees.

Because they don’t travel much and their only experience of it is the incredibly badly run Veterans Administration, and they’ve been exposed to propaganda about socialism to the point where they are afraid every visit to the doctor will be like going the the DMV for a driver’s license.

Instead of payment, what if you won’t recline your seat as long as the person behind you agrees to STFU for the flight?

Sheraton, globally, is much more consistent and high end than it is in the U.S. where they tend to let the properties go far too long between expensive updates. Hilton is the same.

Motel 6 always surprises me in a good way. I travel on business and stay in higher end places, but whenever I’ve stayed in a Motel 6 it’s clean, it’s safe, it has what I need, and while it has nothing else; it’s cheap. It reminds me that I’m paying a lot of money for luxuries I don’t really need most of the time.

As a business traveler: ALWAYS check the specific hotel reviews. I use a hotel site to find where I want to stay and one reason is that within a chain the specifics can vary greatly. It also lets me use that site’s reward program instead of chasing a specific chain all over the world where it may not always be the

I didn’t care for this at all. It’s still low flow it’s just “sharper”. I want a shower to be like someone dumping a bucket of water that never runs out.

That said, I've been married nearly 23 years now. I'm not sure I'd have any idea how to behave on a date in the current decade.

I reported it in my review of the plug-in as I discontinued my use of it. I never heard back, nor did I attempt to follow up on it. It's not an uncommon thing for some plug-ins to do.
