Seems too late to market, omho. More and more laptops already having microsd card support, and almost every microsd card I've ever bought came with an adapter for those who need it.

Utter bullshit. My wife of 22 years and I would not have a single answer in common.

As silly as most "always/never" rules that govern large purchases. First, because any income percentage rule is regressive by nature. Second because the needs of the buyer vary as much as their habits.

If you are mechanically inclined, healthy and able enough not to be at risk if your car suffers a minor breakdown,

it bothers me that this is possible.

I seem to recall reading that you can save a ton of money on blades by leaving your razor soaking in something like baby oil while not in use, as the thing that dulls blades the most is oxidation.

Most of the "salt" used is calcium chloride and as long as you're not excessive with it and don't live right on a stream, you're doing no real harm.

I use that exact model and it works quite well.

I use torque on all the cars I maintain. This looks like a good addition, not a replacement. This is meant to be used all the time, where Torque is more a diagnostic tool.

I suspect there's some factors that need to be considered here. Seagate drives are going to be far more commonly used on the consumer side, where Hitachi drives are going to be used far more in corporate and server settings. That means the seagate drives are in consumer grade equipment with lower quality power

no, it was a 3.5" low profile. Maybe it was a 1gig, it's been a long time so my memory for unimportant things is unclear. Whatever it was, it was junk and didn't last long. Samsung used to mean "cheap korean crap" — now much of my favorite gear has their logo on it. Times change.

I did too. That's two in the sample. We're off to a great start! I should add that the last time I bought a traditional samsung hard drive it was 100 megs and state of the art for the day. You can take that into account in your gathering of statistics.

sometimes I shred them, usually I just tear them in half and throw them away. Where I live, the trash isn't going to get accessed until (in theory) after it reaches the incinerator or recycling plant.

Every time I get annoyed by these, I try to remind myself that they are the reason I can still scrawl some handwritten symbols on a scrap of paper and drop it in any of dozens of blue boxes that I pass in a given day, and for about half a dollar someone will personally hand deliver that very scrap of paper to the

I did not say it was the most dangerous. I'm a part time firefighter and that has some danger as well. What I said was that it is a dangerous time for them — something which is born out if you look at how many have been killed in that situation. Regardless, they are trained to be on high alert at that moment. The

It comes down to this:

1. Don't surprise the cop. Approaching a motorist is a very dangerous thing for them. Sit with your hands where they can see them (on the wheel). If you need to reach for something, tell them that you're going to reach for your wallet or whatever along with where it is, and that you are not

Not a roadblock, definitely a hurdle. Not insurmountable - skill and experience can overcome this most of the way up the chain (provided your career choice isn't Doctor or Lawyer). It takes more time and you have to prove yourself.

dracolytch - this is one of the most awesome replies I've read in a long time. I love this. I WILL steal it without a second thought.

akshay2000 - pick up the latest revision of Kathy Sierra's "Head First Java". It's the best programming book I've ever seen, and the only one I've ever actually read cover to cover instead of just using as a reference manual. It really is brilliantly written and will teach you what you need to understand how to
