Ennio Morricone, Bear McCreary, and Darren Korb are, in my opinion, the 3 greatest composers of all time.

Is it back to $31 again or am I missing something?

I clicked on the TTR deal 25 minutes after you posted, and the price is $31 (which is still good). Am I doing something wrong?

In Localhost, you play as a network administrator on the first day of their job. You’re asked to go down to the shop and wipe some hard drives that have been corrupted...

  • “Do Tormund and Brienne make giant babies that take over all of Westoros?”

This is quite literally the only thing I’m concerned with after the conversation between Tormund and The Hound.

“life sucks, you have to deal with it and here is some excellent music.”

You know she’s not his wife, right? She decided to take care of him in thanks for saving her life, but he’d rather be alone.

That battle was just a culmination of a sequence masterclass of game design, of using the game’s mechanics and design to drive home the storytelling and experience.

My interpretation in 1997 was “Oh, that can’t possibly be good.”

Shera was not his wife. Shera was only his wife during the events of Advent Children. In FFVII, she was just one of the engineers on the rocket. It was only after Cid realized he screwed up and found out that the rocket WAS flawed that he started to apologize and treat Shera better, and only after 2 years do we find

You will settle a climactic showdown with a slap-fight atop a giant cannon.

Great, very slow and climatic fight but for me nothing beats the One Winged Angel from the final fight. The only song with lyrics, which are just show up from a surprise. Great piece of art!

Well good to see you’re not as dumb as you sound.

Given the hybrids speak in metaphor most of the time...

Absolutely do this. The run is incredibly entertaining and all of the commentary about various plot points as well as technical/mechanical details are super interesting.

COOLRANCH.

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend putting on the speedrun in the background and revisiting the story through the commentators. They are very interesting to listen to and give a lot of plot points you may have missed and cool tidbits about the game’s mechanics. I put it on while I was doing work (didn’t have time

Definitely one of the top runs of the event, the couch made it much more enjoyable that I thought and I’m not even a big fan of FFVII.

This is the first time I’ve actually been interested in reading about a speed run! Probably has something to do with my love for FFVII but also was a well-written article. Nice work!
