Alabamans are proud, hard working people who will not take more than they give to the federal till. They hate socialism and they love all of the self made men like Trump that are their republican heroes.

A direct cash payment from the federal government from your tax dollars is functionally the same. That’s one fewer pothole filled in your neighborhood, one more teacher raise deferred, one less month of subsidized insulin, or a few hundred gallons of jet fuel.

Eh I’m still on Sanders on this one. Helping the poorest locations of the country is going to help more in the long run. Removing racial bias would be more important.

Every candidate is flawed and should be criticized for their flaws. Doesn’t mean you can’t still support your person and vote for them, but let’s not pretend like any of them are beyond criticizing. 

Not to mention that the account is pushing the narrative that Bernie is trying to buy votes in an article where Bernie opposes cash payout reparations. 

Reparations, in the form of cash being directly given, is never going to happen. I’m not even discussing whether it should or should not happen; I’m just pointing out something that my half-over lifespan in this country has taught me. Your experiences may lead you to a different conclusion.

They call it “Medicare for All” because... name recognition and association. People like Medicare. They’re not afraid of Medicare the way they are afraid of “Single-Payer Healthcare” or “Socialized Medicine”.
