Some clarification on the relevant law:

“Then, he put the credit card info of the family online, distributed their social security numbers, hacked into the girl’s Twitter and email accounts, and tried to cancel the family’s home utilities. It ultimately destroyed the family’s credit rating.”

He was deemed not guilty by reason of insanity. He was suffering a severe episode of schizophrenia. As a morally just society, it is our responsibility to treat and medicate those with mental illness, not just lock them up in prison for life.

People should be punished for their crimes, even if they have a mental issue. Especially if that mental issue is characterized by being a criminal and ruining people's lives.

“Even wilder, he was responsible for temporarily shutting down Space Mountain at Disneyland last year, netting him counts of harassment, extortion, uttering threats, breach of recognizance, and seven separate counts of mischief.”

He doesn’t want girls to like him. He wants power over them.

Charge him with 23 counts of Attempted Murder.

It's indicative of behavior pattern. I'm glad you got away from that man who came on to you. It could have ended so much worse if that man had continued.

At least you figured out that you’re in the minority and didn’t demand your own type of video for your specific tastes. This makes me assume you’re not a PC master racer ;)

Listen...I don’t know a single little boy willing to pretend to be a girl just to get into tents with other little girls. These people are trying to say that a child is so sexually driven that he will go to the lengths to pretend to be transgendered (and face the social repercussions of that) to violate the innocence

Valid point, but yeah, we don’t agree here. No need to make a scene of course— the person I’m referring to making it awkward for is your boyfriend. Well, if it’s me, “instant ex-boyfriend.”

The NyanCat usage is a case in point of how this safety video falls short—NyanCat serves no purpose here, no pun is made, no acknowledgment is given to it beyond its existence. The only memes I thought were used cleverly in this video was the dramatic gopher looking at the exit sign and KeyboardCat providing the

I have avoided bouquets to the point of running AWAY FROM THE DAMN THING. Nevertheless, this would be grounds of immediate breakup if a guy were mean enough to do that.

Yeah, this is going to be one of those stories that he tells where she’s expected to laugh along because it was “just a joke.” I really despise people who frame dickish behavior as humor like this, because it just sets up the other person to seem like an uptight killjoy - even when they have a totally valid reason for

I swear people act like they have never played video games before. Every console since the PS2 has done this. They release early screenshots with highly polished graphics, or a video from a small section of the game with the same level of polish. I remember the preview videos for Darkwatch back in 2006 or so. That

Abortion: It really brings out your inner child.

I actually respect people like this guy a lot more than people who try to restrict abortion with exceptions for rape and incest. If you actually think abortion is murder, why allow any exceptions? The anti-abortion rights people who support rape and incest exceptions either (a) recognize there’s a difference between

All right, as an ardent “pro-abortion” rights person, I will say that at least Bright is consistent. If, and I say IF, you believe a fetus is a baby is a person with full legal rights, then abortion is indeed murder. All these other restrictions with exceptions are just slut-shaming. It’s like “well, ‘those women’

There’s quite a bit of elision and misinformation presented here. I truly don’t have the energy to dig into all of it, but let’s take on the scare-quoted oxybenzone and Vitamin A, for example. Retinyl palmitate, the natural form of Vitamin A that is used in sunscreens, has been proven safe by multiple rigorous,

Why on earth would someone make you stop using a brand of pencil? I can understand a “no pencil” rule (though not in second grade), but this Dixon Ticonderoga*-fueled oppression seems a bit over-reactive.
