I think she probably received that because of the disabled daughter and ill husband mentioned by the judge. Probably not anyone else to take care of them, sadly.

CHECK THIS SHIT OUT, I'M GOING TO BE A FUCKING

DONTNOD said that they were told the same thing about Remember Me. Unfortunately, they should have been telling them that fixing the combat system was more important than what gender the characters were. Remember Me was a great game with tragically flawed gameplay, that deserved to be much better than it actually was.

Man, it's stories like this that really fly in the face of all of the sexism-in-gaming apologists, with their "forcing gender parity sacrifices authorial integrity", or "most games star males because most games are made by and/or for males" or whatever other variant that excuses there being actual sexist bullshit

The jobs that white guy dominate are where the money is at. When they start letting women and POC in, that means the money is starting to dry up.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think it's shitty and unacceptable for anyone to leave their kids behind.

Sometimes I really wish I could just quit my job, cash in my 401(k), empty my bank accounts and just PEACE OUT. Go to different places, pretend to be different people. I know I can't. I have my parents to take care of, I have obligations and responsibilities.

I want to be angry about this but the high schooler in me is like "why wasn't this a thing when my face broke out the night before picture day"

If you are trying to pretend that you're still the young buck when you're my age, it just doesn't work.

You can either pay the workers more or you can pay them more via welfare taxes. either way, its still coming out of you pocket.

I've seen at least one saying that.

There's a better chance of punishment because the there is a man around to validate the victim's account. :/

I think the point that countesslemongrab was trying to make was that these parents were loving their child, in their way. They have a narrow worldview, informed by a narrow faith but that doesn't alter that they loved their child.

Considering that people now can rack up a few thousand death threats for talking about video games on the internet, I doubt this is too far fetched.

I wonder why this guy gets ridiculed in the article while the girl who was charged $300+ on Halloween (and her birthday) was to get our sympathy. Granted, she gave us a few more details (that she couldn't pay her rent because of the Uber bill) and got lots of donations to cover the cost. Does it merely come down to

It was the choice of the article writer, don't try to read too much into it

What did they expect would happen if they stormed a police station? Milk and cookies before bed?

Okay, hear me out here. Protesting = good. Storming a building full of police officers = not good.

It was down like, a day longer. I too find this a bit strange.

Even if you aren't religious, please pray...
