So weird... I have shaved my arms maybe once in high school and I always assumed I was the weird one for doing it (rather than for not doing it). Maybe it's a regional thing? I dunno.

Speaking as a woman with arm hair, you would not believe how many people point out my arm hair. One complete stranger (a man, of course) asked why I don't shave it.
My point here is that women are pressured into having no visible body hair whatsoever, implying that we spend our time shaving instead of doing more…
Sure but in addition to the usual things women have to shave like your armpits and legs, this would include the chest, arms, stomach and, in some cases, shoulders. That's a lot of extra real estate.
I don't wanna get too meta about it, but you can sorta justify weird age gaps in aliens in Star Trek because it's long established in those universes that they often age differently from humans.
Jonas Salk is spinning in his grave. He developed his polio vaccine for the good of humanity and never wanted to collect profits from it. Vaccines should be readily available to all children and adults who need them. This is one of the many reasons why the profit motive in health care is just plain awful.
They like to pick and choose from the Bible what they believe, mainly because the damn thing contradicts itself on every other page...
You know, this pattern recognition is actually why I advocate some superstitions, at least a little bit. I say to think critically about them but not to dismiss them outright, like astrology or some herbal superstitions that have yet to be empirically validated. It turns out we might actually be right about seasons…
Daily "Blow"? Well no wonder it's fucked up, someone was putting cocaine on that bottom cartridge as it suggests, and looks.
I'd say the fact that men are choosing more deadly methods means it is a mens problem.
It was pretty common knowledge among people experienced with electronics that dust on contacts = bad. That's why we blew on the cartridges. It may or may not have been right to do, but that's why we did it.
Build again is a problem not just skill. Imagine football and look at the build of a linebacker, you have to be built like a tank to withstand that blow. The possibility of a woman with the same build is very small so in order to participate women need their own league in those cases. Tennis has similar issues…
Ah, didn't see what you were replying to, my bad. Yes, women are at a disadvantage physically in many sports.
Its for the same reason why there are fighting weight classes, so everyone can compete and it's not always 'biggest guy wins'
You know, I understand the point of having seperate male and female sports when they require physical activity, as there are obvious physical differences that make different categories make sense.
You're not alone. I actually liked him, too, and I would have never even known there was any kind of gay controversy around his character if I hadn't been visiting the message boards around Bioware at the time. From playing as a female Hawke, I had no idea about any of that hoopla with the fandom.
Good. I've never had one because 1) I'm still a virgin and 2) I got Gardasil at the right age. Yup, no speculum is going to touch my area. Urgh, just thinking about it makes me cringe.

You know, I won't romance him, being a straight guy, but this is so much more believable than every party member being what I like to call 'herosexual', a la DA2.
