"Hack"?

That's called hanging your friend out to dry. And if that's how you treat your friends, then while you might consider yourself to be a friend, it's questionable whether your friends actually consider you to be a friend.

Well, sure, you can do that, but that's not "defending your friend". That's "not getting involved."

Oh, and hey lady, keep at it! I'm a bit lucky living in a granola town where there's a variety of crazy healthy foods available, but even without them, I've gotten so accustomed to the fresh fruit and veggies/ no baked goods lifestyle that the "junk food" I used to love tastes too sweet and rich and weird. I hear

It might be that your stomach needs some time to get down to "apple" size. They get used to being filled a certain amount and then get grouchy about changes to that:) That's where hydrating well helps too.

Simple, While we cannot extract 2 kcal of energy from 1 kcal of food, what we can do is increase the efficiency of the body's ATP generation process and decrease the percentage of the food that goes into body heat generation.

Plus the light doesn't even look realistic and those big eyes.

It's really not an update to a more modern style, it's an update to be closer to the original manga. The original art was CRAZY long limbed and slender.

Uh, what? The designs were changed to more closely match the original manga. And I like how you editorialized it as De-evolution when the original article clearly labeled it as evolution. Change is change, not necessarily a bad thing.

Exactly - I see it as "small child guilt" the kind where they don't exactly get what was so wrong about it, but do know you as the parent/master are going to be pissed about it. it's not a complex emotion. People who say "dogs don't feel guilt" are both right and wrong. They're right in that that complex

I'm just joking. Kind of. It really depends on how much your kids hate you.

So, even librarians don't read the source article before casting judgement. Cute.

That, and if your parent throws away one of your books, what are you going to do? Get another copy of the book and read it with way more fervor than you would have otherwise.

They have some idea of right and wrong, though right? Or at least 'allowed and not allowed.' I never yelled at my dog, but I always knew when she'd pissed somewhere in the house, because as soon as I walked into the room, her tail would go between her legs and she wouldn't look at me. She definitely wasn't reacting

We all know that being third is the most dangerous position of power.

It matters more how it's perceived by its intended audience and how it's perceived by who it's supposedly exploiting. Most people declaring it racist are white Americans.

I didn't get a formal allowance, but my parents were hardly stingy about giving me money when I needed/wanted something reasonable. And I got money from aunts and uncles on my birthday & Christmas that I could save in case there was something I wanted that they weren't willing to pay for.

They have a point - if 100% of pregnant women had abortions, we'd have this depression thing completely solved in 100 years, tops.

Seriously. I also think there's a big difference between a truly toxic person, which most are not, and a person with whom we've grown apart or are having some difficulty with. I have plenty of friends with whom I'm less close than I've used to be, who said things that have hurt or bothered me, or who have

I do. Not dramatically, but I do a quiet fade. My life is pretty uncomplicated now. Worth it.
