Well that doesn't really prove anything other than that people intent on hurting each other will use weapons. If these people had access to guns instead of knives there'd be less knife crimes.

With that said, I'd prefer being threatened by someone with a knife than with a gun. That's just my opinion though.

Maybe I've just been "trained" for games with these situations, but I thought this was a no brainer. Any game where there's an option to upgrade your influence or talking skills, I always give it a one or two point boost per level.
