I mean, these are the same people who think that people will genuinely spend years of their life working on a franchise they “hate” all for the chance to make changes that ruin it for “the fans”. Logic and all sense of rational thought departed that station LONG ago.

Keep in mind that, although the FF7 remake was split into three parts, that doesn’t mean it’s like an episodic game and it feels short and incomplete if you can’t yet play part 2 and 3. Each game is a full-length, independent game, more akin to Halo 1, 2 and 3, rather than an episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. As

The success of the Switch is yet more proof that the “the only way to be successful in video games, is to do the exact same thing everyone else is doing, and has been doing since the beginning. Trying anything out of the ordinary is doomed to fail.” mantra that a lot of the gaming community spouts, just doesn’t hold

One assumes he came back wearing a top hat and a fake moustache:

Gravity Rush 2 holds a special place in my heart since it was at the Tokyo Game Show when I went.

From what I heard, the reason is due to to the first Uncharted games being made for PS3. They would be more difficult to port compared to Uncharted 4, which was developed for the more PC-like PS4. I don’t know how that works since there was a PS4 Uncharted collection, but I’d wager there was some kinda emulation

I dunno, “nostalgic” and “retro” might end up working in their favor. Just look at all the people who pine for the way McDonald’s used to look.

Nice try, but everyone knows you thought this was money that was being spent on a TV series in lieu of a game.

The beach scene alone is one big reminder that the “knees pointing inward” way to “make girls look girly” from anime is actually a little scary on a realistic adult woman.

How the fuck does this even happen? How does a kid have a game in his house, that he never even opened? As an adult, sure, you buy games but never have the time to play them. But an un-played game in front of a kid, should be like an unattended baggie of meth to a drug addict.

When I saw the commercial for it on TV, I was disappointed that it was going to be live-action and not animated like in the games!

why have regular chocolate chip when you can step it up with mint chocolate chip?

Huh, it has been some time since I’ve seen choc-chip for sale. Also, it’s rather funny that vanilla, something that is seen as so plain and woefully boring that its name is used as slang for plain and woefully boring things, still ranks so highly.

Did you play any of the DLC? It seems they realized they had fucked up, because the story and writing of the DLC is improved a tad over the main campaign.

Oh, be nice!

There’s definitely a fine line. Studios giving amateur modders open-season on making official remakes without oversight, simply because they’re “fans”, not such a great idea. But hiring someone who has a proven track record with exactly this sorta thing, even if they’re not a “professional” is likely worth looking

Borderlands 3 is a good Borderlands game in terms of gameplay and mechanics. The problem is, it’s a bad Borderlands game in terms of the writing and story. Very much worth playing, but everything non-gameplay and visual is terrible. There was like, 2 funny jokes total in it.

I’m a bit disappointed they didn’t try to push the visual style with a filter or something, since the artstyle is, y’know, one of Borderlands defining traits. Not expecting “cosplayer painting black lines on themselves” level, but something to stylize things a bit.

No offense to Cate Blanchett and the uh, let’s charitably call them “thirsty” boys in the comments sections, but she’s a little bit old to be playing Lilith IMO. Sure, in the game she’s no fresh-faced youngster, but she’s certainly not supposed to be in her 50s.

Shooting yourself in the foot because it will result in immediate satisfaction to your ego, and valuing that above all else, is pretty much the extent of discourse in the modern age.
