Thanks. Lazy-ass me could have looked it up. It is odd that the papers/radio didn’t mention the town name.

I think that even Newsday didn’t mention the town this happened in. The Daily News only mentions street names (“Cops were called to a Donna Place address near Quintuck Lane about 9 a.m...”).

From a friend’s Facebook feed.

I work for an engineering/expediting company in NYC. At the Dep’t of Buildings and at the NYC School Construction Authority offices there are signs all over the place that say “A smile and ‘thank you’ is all we ask from you” - or similar. One of the clerks turned down a piece of gum for fear of appearances.

You’re right. None of my cousins &/or friends had denims/jeans in the 70s (when I was a child). Even in the 80s (my teen/HS years there) most of my friends in school only had one pair of denims (maybe two). We’d wear uniforms for the school day: the boys would wear trousers all year; the girls would wear skirts/kilts

As a child, when I’d visit Ireland (even in cold weather), and as a teen when I lived there, I recall seeing most boys under about 10 wearing shorts almost all year ’round, with wooly jumpers (to keep the torso warm). Of course they’d have long trousers for Sundays and whatever. Their Mums kept them in shorts most of

My favourite “curse” is wishing terminal jock itch & athlete’s foot on a person. This is way too weak for SHS.

Yeah. Will the AMA or ABOG sue? I sure hope so.

Yep. Not holding my breath waiting for a reply or a comment at all!

So true. Sadly I don’t think we’ll hear anything from DOE or 45.

Regarding your calculus above: 100% accurate! At my office, when someone is procrastinating getting something out to a client because they want tweak it this way or that way we tell the person: don’t let perfection be the enemy of good. If we wait for the absolutely purest candidate we’ll be waiting for eternity.

Wait, you’re actually using **historical facts** in your argument?

Here’s something Irish you can say to Rep. King (you prolly already know this one!): póg mo thóin!

I am in awe at the strength & composure these young people have. I hope that they will at some point be able to once again have a bit of ‘normal’ young-people lives.

Also - the news reminded me this AM that Jennifer Hudson’s brother & mother were shot to death by a her former brother-in-law.

Thank you for the reminder.

Yeah. From the list above I don’t know if the other celebs were personally touched by gun violence, but I think Sir Paul comes to his opinion honestly.
