Autocross? At Grattan? I am having trouble figuring out where you would hold an autocross there.

My wife will be glad to co-found that group.

Almost had me for the minute it took me to look it up.

What if you have to finance it?

Excuse me, sir. What are you doing?

Indeed. For the douche, this just became a "you aren't going to believe what some asshole did by my GS the other day" story.

Uh, what? It has a lot to do with a person's ability to be sane and make good decisions. Someone like that, who has proven themselves to be devoid of any personal responsibility, would never even get the courtesy of a callback from me. They allowed this asshole to be a manager when all he is qualified to do is some

That is a nice variation on the "Never take a car to the track that you can't afford to push off a cliff" I have been using for most of my adult life.

I will be sure to not tell my dad, who doubled his money and sold one with ~800 miles for $5200.

I never get tired of this video. First the driving, then the interview. So much win.

This. We lived in south Florida for almost 4 years, so I can vouch. There is so much shit going on that never hits the news, that it's kind of hard to grasp for a while.

Indeed. I never got the whole Escalade thing, myself. Just seems like a $20-30k social status tax to me.

Unibody? False

My heart was stopped RIGHT there for a moment. The A-pillar is obscuring the scary part. Big moment to be sure.

Ah, but it's a Corvette. Every Corvette ever made will be desirable to a significant enough group of people to support a restoration ecosystem. That is why you can scratch build any C1 or C2 from mail order parts. Probably some C3's as well.

It's a formula that is hard to argue with. Don't forget the methanol. Not hard to see why these big NASCAR stars always love to go back to their roots and race these things for fun.

I totally heard that in this voice

Jesus Christ, people are insane. I don't go out of my way to run down hapless creatures*, but I will be damned if I am going to risk a highway speed pileup over something that won't even know what hit them. A buddy of mine once wrecked his racecar and tow rig when he slammed on the brakes for some ducks. I told him

Oh, I agree that it's definitely a lowest bidder issue. There are a LOT of parts of all cars that suffer the same quality limitations, though not all of them fail at the same rates (or within a reasonable lifetime). Cars are most definitely not designed to a specific lifespan like a lot of people think.
