Well, that clears things up. Hopefully, he learned from this expensive lesson. Wheelies are fun, but you kind of need to work up to being able to pull the big bumper stands off...and even then there is a lot of luck involved.

Not sure how you can tell that from the video. It looks more like something happened to that left front wheel to me. Either something broke or he was indeed across the center and yanked the wheel.
Who brings an infant to an F1 race? Someone that is awesome, that's who. I attended the US Nationals (NHRA race in Indianapolis) from pretty much as early as I can remember until we moved too far away in 2007. We had kids in 2001 and 2004, so they were both there in various states of childhood including infancy. …
Both machines are absurd. I am not quite sure which one I like more. If I could afford the GT2, I would likely own them both.
Sure looks like it to me. That someone has good taste as well as the awesome ability to produce my favorite porn.
First off, (I assume you are not trolling since you don't act trollish) congrats on being in a position to afford a luxury like this yet being sane enough to care about cost. The only people I have been exposed to with the means to buy $1M luxury items don't seem to give a crap what things cost. Consequently, they…
Somehow, I fail to follow the logic. Suffice to say, I am a long way from this market. It just seems like to me that if you are concerned about the price differences in $1M+ cars, you don't have any business buying them. This is the kind of car that someone buys because the want it and the cost is of no concern.
Understanding the Area Moment of Inertia is critical here. There is a world of difference between the plain rectangular spoke on the COR wheel and the modified H spokes on those Marchesinis.
Pretty much what I expected. That tells a much better story than 450 horsepower. :-) That is boner-inducing at 3000. It wasn't long ago that it took a supercharger to make the curve look like that.
I know, right. It's insane. It was already tough enough that the 90's LT1 was different from the 70's LT-1, which was actually RPO LT1. I guess they didn't like the sound of LR1 (the next logical progression of LT, LS, etc)
This is the correct answer. I am waiting to see the torque and BSFC curves. They will be impressive, though not quite as impressive as the Lt2-LTA variants' curves. Keep in mind, 450/450 is the BASE engine. Project what the LS9/LSA has become back onto the very first LS1 for a moment.
I am not sure one look can tell you that they will or will not be strong enough, but I have to admit that there is NO WAY I would put cast wheels with spoke roots that thin on my car. Even for driving in the street. A quick visual analysis of this image hints that the two visible spokes didn't break all at once.
WOW, best thing I have seen posted in a while. Thanks. Now I am stuck in the rabbit hole of research and daydreaming about working on an LMP team. Had no idea there were so many 90º V8 engines in those cars.
It's more fun when you convince them to get a tattoo
I haven't seen one in years. That was a jab at the fact that everyone and their toddler has a phone with a camera, but it's like 100x more work to actually get a picture in your hand now than it was 30 years ago.
Wouldn't a Polaroid be a lot less work?
Congratulations, this is the first comment to make me lol. Yes, audibly. I am just waiting for one of the Obama haters in the next cube to post about this on Facebook.
Perfect burnouts, in my book. No brakes involved, just powering through the until the tires catch up. Brakestands are boring.
Somehow, I never get tired of that video. There must be something wrong with me, because I have seen it WAY too many times for it to still be enjoyable. "Did I pop the tire?"
SO MUCH win at 2:06. Thanks for the background. Sad when some jackass has a bunch of expensive toys that he doesn't respect...most likely because he didn't have to earn anything in his life.
