I was going to say she looked “heavy” when she walked out of the bathroom. Not fat heavy, of course, drug heavy. She was all dancing and up before that.

That whole thing with the woman in Florida firing off warning shots against her abusive husband and getting twenty years made me pray for an asteroid to push restart on this whole planet. I literally yelled at my computer screen every time I saw that online.

Cynically, and sadly, I believe if she’d had a gun, the headline would read:

I had a friend of my interning for a SFX house here in LA. For six months, living in his car (crashing at my place on the weekends), he worked 80 hours + a week, no compensation, with the promise of employment when it was over. They never gave him the job, they just brought in new interns. It was brutal for him.

It’s a little much (50 hours) for an intern, but i’m not sure the whole thing is worthy of a class-action lawsuit. Lots of internships (esp. in fashion/film/tv/etc) are more about endurance / hazing than anything. I don’t think that’s right, but currently it is what it is.

Olivia Newton John was my first crush. Grease came out when I was 7-8 years old. Xanadu followed up. I had feelings for her I couldn’t explain. Xanadu is eternal in my world. In a strange twist (of fate), I really don’t go for blondes any more, but that’s totally not her doing.

Dating myself here. I remember this commercial. What i didn’t, nor would I have noticed when I was still in single digits, is that wallpaper. What a nightmare.

No. I hope the mullet never stops. It’s one of the few examples on the planet of being able to have it both ways.

Okay, that kid HAS to be Chaz, or Chad.

These are all valid reasons to come and go. Regardless, *Welcome Back.

I really liked the desert scene, too. I was terrified his wife was in the gangster’s car. She was the only human I identified with (her and Ray’s wife), because they seemed the least miserable.

I’m not. Promise.

ahh. that’s the tough part about digesting documentaries. even those on the right side of history will manipulate the facts.

Not contradicting, but didn’t the one guy in the movie say that never occurs in the wild? I haven’t seen it since it came out.

That makes me extremely sad for the orcas. The most heartbreaking part of Blackfish for me is their wilting fins. It’s like a physical representation of their spirit being crushed (in my eyes, I can’t prove that).

I JUST, literally two days ago, saw an episode of Cheers, where the judge made Sam propose to Diane. I was laughing at the obviously great writing and fantastic performances, but now it has precedent.

“for the child is dark, and full of heirs”

I like it quite a bit. There are no rules in punk, but as an obsessive fan/casual student/former player of music, i would have liked less echo on the chorus. Works great on the verses, adds some good texture and depth to that loping pace, but hurts the impact of chorus a little.

Well....maybe one surprise.

That’s fantastic news about your daughter. Seriously great. My condition is autoimmune as well (AS), and it’s hips and spine and upper back. My next step is to see a physical therapist who specializes in arthritis. There is a good chance my spine will fuse (i already have 4 fused joints in my neck), so I am trying to
