Are you so dense that you can’t fathom that direct to consumer sales means the manufacturer gets 100% of sales revenue? Tesla gets all the money — and the second richest person world gets more than his share of it.

We should increase the sentence for the latter then. We’ve seen the damage that intentionally crashing even a small aircraft can do if you fuck up, and then to compound it by orchestrating a cover up when caught, yeah, that deserves being nailed to the wall over.

I’m pretty sure it saves consumers money when they DON’T have to pay bullshit ‘market adjustment fees’ and other bullshit that dealers habitually add. 

Depending on skin color and wallet thickness he may just get a hand slap and probation. 

My problem is always that salespeople know less than me about the car. Why should they get a cut of something I have already researched just to stand there while I fill out paperwork that the finance guy creates.

As a tech company?  How are Ford and GM making better self driving strides than Tesla and they are undervalued?  Serious question, I am a Tesla owner and keep looking at all the breakthroughs other OEMs are making in the field that Tesla was supposed to dominate. 

Tesla really got going when they came out with the Model 3, something a lot of people could afford.  When Rivian comes out with a Maverick sized vehicle for $45k it will see the kind of success Tesla has seen in the last few years.

Good. Given all the shenanigans that dealerships pull, their bullshit mark ups on specialty vehicles, “disappearing” trade-ins, “I need to talk to my manager” nonsense,... fuck ‘em. I’ll happily buy from a manufacturer, directly.

I love them. There’s a few in the school pickup line. The size is in the Goldilocks zone. If I thought it would totally replace my ICE truck, I’d drop a dime on one.

I’ve gone from rarely seeing a Rivian, to at least one a day.  Different ones even!  Seeing more of the SUV ones as well.  Looks great, wish I had the kind of cash needed to buy one..
