How fast can it go around a corner? Acceleration is fun but not nearly as fun as lateral grip.
So let me get this straight:
Vimes boots theory of socioeconomic unfairness
The “cheap OEM parts” reminds me of that old adage about how it’s expensive to be poor. A poor person needs work boots, but can’t afford a good $100 pair. So he buys a $10 pair. But they wear out, so he buys another $10 pair. And so on. Whereas if he had been able to buy the $100 pair from the jump, they’d last much…
Nice that you feature shots of Lake Oroville. You may not know this, but there are other lakes in California. It is a large state. Perhaps you missed it during the extensive research you did for this slideshow.

...consider a dormant car engine light. It’s not emitting anything, but it still signals information: that your engine is fine. That’s counterfactual communication.”
If the eyes are the window into one’s soul, the headlights are similar in their impact on the character of a car’s design.
Going down a rabbit hole now...
Ascari KZ1 had Peugeot 206 headlights, if I recall.
Ha, I knew I had seen those Cizeta V16T tail-lights before, but had never thought of the Alpine A610 before!
