Fusion 2.5 is a bolt-in swap for the Mazda 2.3. It’s really popular with the 3 crowd. I picked up a 2018 Fusion 2.5 with 10k miles on it for $400. Cheapest Mazda 2.3 I could find was over a grand for a 115K mile motor.

The drive they had us on was short. I wish I had more time. But the two hours I did have it it drove fine and handles ok. Its not a sports sedan by any means. But on the short drive we had through the mountains it handled the curves pretty well. I tried to push the Sport trim to the limit and yea it wasn’t having it.
