It’s actually the “no snitching” that’s causing this. Many municipal employees, firefighters, cops etc. doing this, so by non-enforcement of this they are basically looking out for their own.

Snitching only applies to those whom you profess a certain degree of loyalty to whether they be part of an organization, friend or family. A complete stranger has no such obligations, if you’re a thief or an awful person in general, Ima Tattletale.

I think a lot of dudes like to romanticise harsher times, because they think they’d thrive in such times. They consider everyone else beneath them, therefore their own mediocrity must have been forced upon them by a society that elevates others.

I don’t get the “hard times create strong men...” aphorism. If it really is a fact of life, then why complain about weak men? They’re the fault of strong men creating easy times, and the weak men will apparently eventually create strong men. Shouldn’t the solution be to create medium men who in turn create medium…
