And I know that some Tesla bro will come to mansplain why I’m wrong about this, but Tesla’s products have gone from cool and new to dated and weird. Meanwhile, Tesla’s superchargers may be everywhere, but they’re no longer the fastest and once regulations kick in and demand a single, standardized charging

It’s like watching Hummer implode all over again.

In six months Teslas have gone from status symbols to the automotive equivalent of MAGA hats. It’s astonishing; I’ve never seen any brand lose so much goodwill for such a stupid reason before.

Tesla is squandering their lead and I would not be surprised if they are a cautionary tale in 10-15 years.

On today's news: Gamblers upset casino closed.

Yes, you are gate keeping.  Are they playing a game?  Then yes, they’re gamers.

Wow. Taxing by weight would be brilliant here, and I say that as someone who loves his big fat 4300lb sedan. If suddenly there is a DOWNSIDE for having a 7800 lb pickup that gets excluded from emissions standards...

The issue is that the weight classes in the US are under 10klbs and under 25k. They should have a much better system for grading, however every time this comes up the auto industry throws a shitton of money at lawmakers to stop any reform. Because trucks and SUVs are cheaper to produce and command a higher profit

Driving in the US is far more necessary. If you don’t live in a major urban area it’s impractical if not down right detrimental to not drive.

my city legalized golf carts for 25 and under roads...close enough and def annoying enough...

Cars are taxed by weight in many states, including my winter home of Florida. They aren’t taxed *enough* to influence anyone’s purchase decisions - the difference in tax between my Fiata and my Mercedes is less than $20/yr. Just like gas isn’t taxed enough for anyone to legitimately care about efficiency unless they

“BUT MUH FREEDOMS”

Articles like this only make me love the Japanese more and more. They know that collective sacrifice and strict policies are required in order to keep driving as a privilege and not a right. Here in the States, we have 20-somethings acquiring used Hellcats or heavily modified German or Japanese cars and destroying

I don’t think anyone interested in a Subaru would be looking at Maverick or vice-versa.

He’s damn lucky he got charges dropped. A DWI(u), like a traffic ticket, is almost impossible to beat.

I went to college in Fort Collins, its a college town, so they make a LOT of money off of these DUI arrests. The DUI fallout industry (counseling, AA, textbooks, Drug Tests, Charity work, highway cleanup Etc.) are all thriving businesses built around college kids getting DUI’s

It’s crazy, I got pulled for a DUI once despite not having anything to drink. The cop did not want to hear from me at all, I was cuffed and taken to the hospital straightaway. Had to arrange for a ride home from the police station in the middle of the night and to get back to retrieve my car the next day. I had to pay

She is a sitting congresswoman. Jezebel is not at all popular or influential, this is doing nothing for her don’t worry.
