If some cops are bastards, and the “good ones” don’t get rid of them, then ACAB.

I’d like to remind everyone that a high IQ is not welcome in America’s police forces. Like literally weeded out. You can’t make this sh*t up.
Between this, Uvalde, and other instances of cops standing back when certain kinds of armed vigilantes/posses show up, I’m sure there’s a lesson to be learned about the bravery and professionalism of law enforcement officers.
I thought that “observation” was a major part of being a cop. However, they didn’t observe the sight and sound of a locomotive bearing down on them.
The idea that putting others at risk because you think it looks cool is ok. That covers more than just street racing. It includes shit like the Carolina Squat, stretched tires, severe camber, and any other visual mod that negatively impacts the safety of the car.
Remember that SC ruling in 2005 that “Police Do Not Have a Constitutional Duty to Protect Someone” that was reconfirmed in like 2018 and again in 2022
Cops will be working day and night to get a handgun with her fingerprints. They can’t save the city from a taxpayer lawsuit nor themselves from a paid vacation suspension, but at least they can control the narrative and get the “Blue Line” crowd rushing to their defense. Rios-Gonzalez was one of those “Bad Cojones”…
Law enforcement cosplay posers.
I’m going to say “Vilifying the thing you don’t like.”
as much as the fast and furious franchise gets blames for sparking this behavior, at least they were all shown meeting up in abandoned warehouses and empty streets they block off. It’s mainly because of social media, disrespect for themselves and others, sprinkled with a bit of adrenaline.
This “built not bought” shit. Don’t get me wrong, backyard skills and DIY is awesome. And everyone should learn a little maintenance knowledge at a minimum. But this notion that paying someone to do the job correctly makes you less of an enthusiast or even worse, a lesser person, needs to go away. If it’s money that…
The unsactioned gathering is what draws these folks in. This guy was just the worst offender becuase he killed two people. Please tell me what “other points of view” I should examine about having modded cars drag race in the middle of a small town with a lot of pedestrian traffic.
That’s a big assumption there buddy....that I would support reckless driving anywhere let alone in my own community where my neighbors and friends would be at risk. Do I support people modding their own cars even if I think it looks silly? Sure. If these folks want to “unnoffically” get together in a big parking lot…
Lol some dudes are running 9's and 10's with these on street tires WITH the wheels, my guy. Also, I will absolutely die on this hill, but the online car guy hatred for these is ridiculous. If you don’t like the look, whatever, it’s subjective and I get that, but sooooooo many people just dismiss donk/bigwheel cars as…
I would never Donk my own car but whenever I see one on the road I giggle. Just saying the word ‘Donk’ is funny.
Hard disagree. Donks look awesomely stupid but individual builds aren’t going out hurting people inadvertently or doing dumb shit like racing in public for clout. Donk builds know where they stand in car culture, and they’re fine where they are.
Do people still do the squat or has it already died?
Counterpoint: do these actually hurt anyone? I see rolling coal below and obviously sideshows above, but I don’t really see any issue with people making their cars the way they like them. This is ONLY pertaining to the modifications, not what an owner does after the car is modified (drag race, donuts in an…
Rolling coal. Yes we get it, you hate the environment, Prius’, and bicyclists. There’s probably a bumper sticker for that.
I honestly haven’t noticed a difference in my hydro bill. The entire house is all LED now, and has been for at least 5 years. I assume it’s because in that time, computers have demanded more energy, there are more devices in the house, and we’ve had a pandemic where we’re working from home 100%.
