I'm an older millennial and some of those cars do appeal to me. Mostly because they don't have any bullshit electronics and I would think they are a great platform for a beginner to cut their knuckles on. Unfortunately I think the older trucks are the best and those are the ones that are going up in price.

What happens when the Boomers are all gone and nobody really wants these cars anymore? I have no interest in any boomer mobile for the price they command, but if one were to be able to get a mint Bel-Air for like $8k I would buy just to turn it into a lowrider or stupid stance mobile on bags.

Someone in my neighborhood has a brand new raptor. I see it every day on my walks and it is impossibly clean. Here in the valley, especially during harvest season your car will get covered in dust in a day.
What about non American V8s? For $5k you can probably find some Lexus’ that are pretty beat up but running fine with some reliable V8 powa. Not a sedan but old SC400s with yellowing headlights would be a fun build.
Just keep the Miata gas powered for at least one more generation please, I’m so close to being able to afford a fun new car.
My SiL has a 06 Corolla that has seen better days. I’ve done my best to keep it going but if it ever goes out, this is the car she needs. At 200k I would give it a tune up and probably change our the timing belt for good measure and it’ll go for another 60k easy.

I'm sure the billionaire owner has hired people to help with their image online. I've not read a single good review of the vehicles and irrc they tried to sue/arrest a reviewer in Vietnam for giving them a bad review.
The Pokemon folks know this shit is going to happen. They need to charge five times as much for their shit. All the scalpers will buy them up and they will make triple profit. They then can use those profits to produce even more of this stuff but sell it a a cheaper price, forcing the scalpers to take a huge loss.
