Its actually a little bigger than my Mazda5. If Benz is selling these for 40k I wonder if they can give it a basic ass interior, 16" steelies, and minimum tech and sell them for 30k.

Yup, people who are buying $60k+ EVs don’t need the tax credit. The tax credit should max at like $40k, with it increasing as the cost of the vehicle goes down. 

IIRC there are other companies that produce solar shingles, Telsa’s might just be the better looking than the other options. Plus you get to brag about your Tesla roof. 

They did show the their EV concepts not to long ago so they might have EVs sooner than later. But I think they’ll have a Rav4 prime+ (with 100 mile ev range instead of 41) before they have a completely EV lineup. If anyone is going to bring a competent EV that starts under 30k, its gonna be Toyota.
