"YOU'RE THE WORST! YOU'RE TERRIBLE!"

One kid seems to LOVE the Speedo Man!

Probably. I wonder if that distress signal she sent back to the Homeworld managed to send? Because if she believes it did, then my guess is that she thinks that there's a whole squadron of Homeworld Gems coming to rescue her, eliminate the Crystal Gems, and take over Earth. So she's gloating about the impending doom

I still can't get over the fact that Peridot actually smiled in this episode. I didn't think she had it in her.

I'm in the Pearl camp too. And after this week, it's easier to justify her being my favourite Gem because she's become much more nuanced and complex than many of us originally thought she was. Despite her outward appearance of haughty self-confidence, she struggles with inner turmoil over whether she's strong enough

I think the biggest surprise of this Stevenbomb was seeing Peridot smile. I don't even care that she was doing it maniacally - I didn't even think she was capable of smiling.

Joking Victim was great, if only because I love the episodes that focus on Lars and/or Sadie. I love those two donut kids.

CN is actually quite progressive, especially in comparison to Nickelodeon (Legend of Korra notwithstanding) and Disney - the other two of the "Big 3" cartoon studios/networks. The problem is that CN is also a multinational company, and they air in countries that aren't nearly as progressive as Western countries are

He talks just like his father Yellowtail. I wonder how Vidalia is able to comprehend them both?

That was so mom of her.

Yup. Naomi provides vocals on her own theme song. Interestingly enough, so does Sasha, but I actually like Sasha's theme; it's catchy as hell.

August 3! Mark it down!

SHMEBULOCK… SENIOR.

Eh… maybe, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that viewpoint considering their age. I think it has more to do with emotional bonds rather than sexual ones.

BLASPHEMY! She's still my favourite Gem. I actually like that her personality is more nuanced now than the tidy control freak stereotype that she was originally saddled with. For all of her attempts to control the situation and assert herself as the analytical one (and most motherly) of the Crystal Gems, she seems to

Rigby and Eileen will be fine; as immature as he may often be, Rigby actually has his act together when it comes to relationships, at least much more so than Mordecai.

Alexia Khadime was the voice actress for Sardonyx. Unsurprisingly, she's a well-known theatre actress in her native England, which would explain why Sardonyx sounded so theatrical.

They've referenced Utena before, especially in "Steven the Sword Fighter", so it wouldn't surprise me if that's what they were going for.

What about Stevonnie?

I agree with you. TAWOG may not be heavy on the mythology like Adventure Time, Steven Universe or Gravity Falls, but for what it lacks in mythology it more than makes up for in charm. The prevailing mood on TAWOG is one of sheer joy, specifically the joy of being young and still having the world open to you. And
