I have also been to many different doctors (was very sickly for most of my life), and this was the first time I had encountered a doctor who made me feel so awful about myself. She also questioned if writing my senior thesis was really as stressful a process as I was saying it was (I just wrote a small book in the

Her job is not to reduce me to tears and essentially call me a liar, no.

See, this makes sense. I never understood why people feel the need to tell overweight people they're overweight. Do they think they're going to say something like: "Oh REALLY? Is that it? I just thought other people were malnourished! Thanks, bro!"

I love that it's supposed to be a radical idea that doctors hold biases just as much as everyone else in the world. They're people too, and people stupidly judge and shame others.

Thank you, that is a far better explanation of what goes on than anything I ever got from the people (students and faculty) who served on the SJB at my college.

I had a few friends in college who would drink diet soda like this. It always grossed me out.

Yeah, I wear red in winter because it's a warm color which makes everything seem less depressing.

I don't understand how colleges justify not involving the police when there is a sexual assault case.

I assumed it was an animal sanctuary thing too, and even when I saw the sink I was still hoping. Then I saw the mixing bowl in the background and I knew this was a pet.

My Spaniard grandmother did the same thing, then when I lost my puppy fat she bitched that I was too skinny. Until I got breasts and hips, now I think I'm too fat again according to her.

I don't really see how this point can be argued against.

I think the appropriate response is just for everyone to keep doing what they're doing. If you shave? Cool. If you don't? Cool. Everyone do whatever they want with their body, and let the hairless and hairy join their voices in laughing at this douchecanoe.

Dude, that sounds awesome!

I can't even be mad about this. All I can do is point and laugh at how stupid he is.

I wasn't saying she was healthy, I was agreeing with Violet that eating healthy does not necessarily mean you're thin.

I honestly still prefer swimming with something that offers a little more support than the average swim suit (though more for falling out reasons). My bikini actually has underwire, which is the best thing ever.

You realize that you're the only one who's said anything about not having a sports bra/work out clothes prevents them from doing ANY kind of exercise.

I've got a friend who practically lives off junk food and she's barely over 100 pounds.

I can do absolutely no cardio except walking without wearing a sports bra due to the size of my chest. Any rapid movement makes those puppies bounce around and hurt like hell.

I was amazed the first time I put on a sports bra and worked out. It was something like "Wait, what? I don't have to clutch at my chest while

I'd like to point out that is is really true in NY State as well. NYC is liberal/democratic, but a lot of upstate NY is extremely conservative. NY is just always going to go blue because, well, half of the state lives in NYC (and that's just the 5 boroughs, not counting the surrounding suburbs).
