Not at all wild if you assume qualification for prez is straight white dick.

Nobody ever voted for a President out of sympathy. "Sorry you had a heart attack; you should be President, that will make you feel better!"

Like there are no POC in the Midwest

“Now we have to pray for his health—because this was a very serious meltdown.”

Today’s big winner was George W. Bush.

Here is the Italian translator earlier today. I mean this face tells you everything.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi on contentious White House meeting: “I pray for the president all the time...I pray for the safety and that of his family.

Copy of Trump’s letter to Erdogan per Trish Regan, FOXBussines.

So I like to look at post debate analysis briefly by CNN and MSNBC just to gauge what the centrists are going to say, because a lot of voters do watch those stations.  CNN praised Buttigieg.  MSNBC, I kid you not, called Warren “petulant”.  PETULANT.  They would NEVER call a male politician “petulant”.  The sexist

“For the majority of Americans, I thnk their exposure to the concept of Medicare for All will indeed come from the debates.”

I got into this with a coworker the other day. She hates Warren for . . . I don’t know—reasons? I jokingly said, “You’ll like her if she gets your student loan erased.” To which she replied, “Not if it makes my taxes go up.” So I tried to explain, “But if your taxes go up less than your monthly loan payment, don’t you

I hate this idea that Real America is only in the Midwest. As if there aren’t working class people everywhere. I grew up in Massachusetts, 20 miles north of Boston. My parents owned a gas station; my grandparents worked in factories and on farms and as an operator for New England Telephone and they all voted for

One of my husband’s favorite criticisms form his teaching reviews was, “He thinks he knows more than the students.”

Oh I was just trying to find Hokes and Roo and all the people I like. They’ve mostly disappeared from the Root and clashtalk is no more. I can’t really figure out how to navigate the subblogs and finally remembered to check my feed. The loss of Splinter did not affect me in anyway. I left that place after they greyed

A great comparison! I always got annoyed with those guys when I was in school because they always seemed to interrupt or talk over me and my female classmates. Eventually I started teaching college classes myself and I realized, to my horror, that their arrogant bluster isn’t limited to interrupting their classmates.

I also get annoyed anytime Mayor Pete talks about “people in the Midwest” like like the Midwest is a monolith or like Elizabeth Warren can’t grasp the Midwest. He uses “the Midwest” as a code word for conservative, rural, working class, etc. in an attempt to paint Warren as an out-of-touch East Coast liberal. Well,

It is curious that the moderators keep pounding this point like it’s some explosive gotcha, because there’s a clear answer that simply takes more time to explain than they can give with 53 candidates on stage.

Mayor Pete was embodying every white dude in college who never stopped talking in class even though everything he said was empty yet condescending at the same time. I got flashbacks that filled me with rage.

It’s not “curious” that Warren won’t say middle class taxes will be raised, because middle class expenses will go down significantly (no out-of-pocket medical expenses). Yet the minute she says taxes will be raised, even within the context of the point, the GOP will pounce on the line and use it in every attack ad

Somebody give me the number to where I donate so we don’t have to deal with Tulsi Gabbard anymore.
