Boo.
Boo.
This guy is my spirit animal.
The elephant in the room must be addressed.
Future Jalopnik article: “Here’s what it cost to get a water-damaged Kia running again.”
Oh if anyone’s curious about how this practice works, John Oliver had a segment about auto lending several months back that covered it.. If my video link doesn’t automatically start you there, jump ahead to 7:04
Hey, they know what they have - no low ballers or tire kickers. Because kicking the tires will result in splashing water.
This post brings up a pretty good underlying point. Those who are looking to buy used cars near the areas flooding will need to be extra vigilant for years to come.
I’m pretty sure if you stuff it with a bunch of rice that it’ll be dry and raring to go in no time.
Ball’n on a budget is the best way to do it.
I drive a 20 year old 7 series. People don’t really know how old it is but it’s a big clean BMW thus people think $$ (not Bentley money). I’ll never tell them I’ve only got $2500 in the thing.
The Bentley is even better at this because the shape has changed so little and…
Easy.
My take is the guy who owns the dealership bought it at auction and has been using it personally since then, maybe someone will come in and buy it, most likely not and when he tires of it he will send it back to auction and write off any loss against his business. Basically he gets to cruise around in a Bently for a…
Rejoicing! I have long lamented the absence of small pickups in the US, and this looks like exactly what we’re missing. A compact truck with Hyundai’s low pricing and excellent warranty will do well, I think. I wonder if it’ll be available with a diesel engine.
Because then they wouldn’t be super anymore, they’d be FABULOUS!
They don’t make humans like that any more. Grandpa is a treasure.

It wasn’t that it was a bad drive either, it was the shit interior, shit styling including incomprehensible overhangs, and totally…
I never in my life thought I would hear that one of these turds looked anything like an NSX. I’m still digesting that one. These things looked like they were squeezed from a tube, and seemed to lack any styling whatsoever. This was the most boring iteration of the Camaro ever. Hated them then, hate them now.
They seem to be aiming for entry Luxury, not economy. Which should be fine and still a game changer IF they can pull it off.
