I loved the original as a kid. If they have to reboot it, I want it to be directed by Jordan Peele.

Yes, because restaurant owners are notoriously open to changing the way they do business based on complaints of the servers. No. You, the customer, need to say something to the owner if you don’t like tipping and would rather them make the food more expensive. I would also prefer this system, but you’re deluded if you…
Not tipping won’t get rid of underpaid service workers unless the restaurant abolishes it. All you do by not tipping is screw someone over. I bet all these anti-tipping people don’t actually try to contact their favorite restaurants to get them to start paying a living wage. That’s the only way you can change this.…
Nobody is being tricked. In the US, you’re expected to tip at least 15%, 20%+ is better. Just fucking tip, people. The server isn’t getting rich or taking advantage of you. You’re paying hidden fees that line the pockets of fatcats everywhere in your life, yet tipping service workers is where you draw the line?
There’s not a tip jar at McDonald’s. You should absolutely be tipping a bartender for a beer. Even if it’s just a dollar or some change.
Antonio is a European from Spain, so I wouldn’t even count him among the sprinkle of color!
I sympathize with his mental health struggles, truly, I do. However, if you are very sensitive to opinions about your work and life, maybe being a famous stand-up comedian who publicly dates very famous women is not the right life for you.
If I was the court-goin’ sort of lawyer, I would rep NDA breakers pro bono. Instead, I’m the one drafting the NDAs and all the other lawyers and I joke about how they’re often pointless.
My first thought was $1 mil liquidated damages clause in an NDA for a comedy show wouldn’t be enforceable in most cases.
Yep, and I suspect more people are streaming than DVRing on a set top box nowadays.
I don’t watch SNL much anymore, but I do read the recaps here and watch some of the sketches online. It doesn’t seem like there are as many memorable SNL recurring characters lately, other than maybe Kate McKinnon and celebrity ringers impersonating the various gremlins in the Trump administration.
I am delighted that not only was he heckled, he was heckled by conservatives. It’s harder to spin that one.
I’m a big fan of the tiny whisk. I use it more than my big whisk.
I was an active Facebook user since 2004 and deleted mine maybe a year or so ago. I recently deleted my personal Instagram account as well. I didn’t have a ton of followers or anything, but it was the only way left that I kept up with people on social media.
I mean, there are legitimate reasons to boo Drake besides him not being Frank Ocean.
“Your from.” Stick to cheating at golf, “Trump Girl Nation.”
I skipped the review until after I watch it, but I’m excited to see Tamal and Andrew on these. They were among my all-time faves. Season 8 was my least favorite because I just felt no connection with most of the bakers and it was kinda boring. I barely remember it, but I DO remember Liam. He was delightful.
Was this football column always on A.V. Club? Seems like it’s more of a SPORTS thing that a certain other blog was asked to, ahem, stick to.
I’ve never had this happen, either, and I probably eat at shift change more frequently than the average person. Having a toddler often means eating at early bird o’clock.
He and Tiny have a daughter born in 2016... ugh
