Oh please, Kate, your wigs are getting less and less convincing as the seasons drag on. You have to go back!

Seeking refuge in Kitsap in two weeks, but I think PA is trying to break my spirit before then. Why do people live on this blighted coast? :(
The first time:
Boyfriend and I went to see it based on the reviews. About ten minutes in, we considered walking out and later regretted our decision to stay. I don't get why this movie is still plastered all over my Facebook feed. The music was bland and predictable, as was the storyline, and there were only a few parts that really…
Existing entirely outside the realm of yoga and yoga pants, whenever I see this brand I immediately think it must be some kind of super powerful digimon. And that makes me happy.
Augh, I can't. One of those puppies looks just like my recently deceased boy when he was a baby. I've been getting an overwhelming mix of sadness and heartwarmth that I can't quite process every time I see that picture in a news feed.
This pairs up surprisingly well with the Muppet Treasure Island clip someone posted elsewhere.
I'm up in Berks County where we just got another 6" of snow on top of the shit that hadn't even melted from last week. I spent most of December/January in Seattle where it was 40+ degrees all the time and flew in just as PA hit that -5 period. That took some acclimation, but at least I missed the initial polar horror.
Central Market's jalapeno popper pizza is enough reason for me to stop by regularly, but Red Apple is the obvious choice when sneaking foods into the movie theater.
If you have secular parents, it's actually not a bad place to grow up. I spent my childhood wandering around the desert on my horse and reading, and if there were drugs and drinking in my peers, I saw none of it. I moved over to Kitsap when I was 13 and was horrified by all the profligates around me. Then I…
I have a bunch of aunts and a grandmother there and always enjoy visiting Spokane. My mother drags me all over the place showing me the fields where she used to ride her horse way too fast (they are now mostly strip malls) or telling me about how she would walk to the World's Fair every day in 1974. Glad you guys are…
I have so many old friends whose first jobs were at Central Market. :) I get to move back to the area in May and the months cannot be going any slower.
Problem with that side is the Jesus fever in everyone's eyes. I grew up in Ephrata and boy howdy was it a bit shocking to go back as an adult.
Poulsbo/Kingston area.
I live right across the water from Seattle when I'm not stuck in this PA hellscape, and it's a weird feeling watching people talk about the city. Seattle's the place that wants to be big but despises all the trappings of a big city. We'll take our trophy and go home to polish up our rock collections, no worries.
About a month ago, I lost my three-year-old dog to a car while my parents were watching him for two weeks. I had raised him from a puppy and was three days away from being able to pick him up. According to my dad, he spent all of his time sitting on the couch staring out toward the road after I left, and when he saw…
Before my boyfriend and I started boyfriend-and-I-ing, we went to movies, went hiking, hunted for cool rocks, read books together, grabbed dinner, etc. and never called them dates. Apparently after hanging out with him and his brother one night, said brother asked him if we were getting together. Boyfriend responded,…
A major award, you say?
Just got out of a five-year relationship with a hard-right conservative. We got by by never, ever discussing politics. Or anything tangentially related to politics. Or anything, really. But, in the end, it was really obvious that all he cared about was his guns and that he would always see me as a woman instead of a…
I thought it was "Took" to the point that I vaguely wondered if she had married the guy who played Pippin and was about to spawn wee Tooks all over the place. Then my brain kicked in.
